Snowball Tunning

by dusho - Compo Entry

use WASD to control character, mouse aim and click to shoot snowballs
You should 'tune' the snowballs to be more effective against specific snowman.

Done in 6 hours or so in Unity 4.6 and Paint.NET.
Really wanted to finish some LD game again.
Update: fixed replay and quit option (top right corner now)

Decent job on the graphics. Simple but effective.

I love this game!!! For the quality of this, I don't believe the 6 hour time frame! Really good job!

It took a while before I got the "tuning", but it is a very neat game! Nice gameplay and the movement and shooting is decent enough!

Cool stuff. I seem to have bad timing, because every time I change colour, the enemies happen to change to the opposite colour. xD

The mechanic is nice, I had a bit of trouble with the hitboxes and friction on the walls - made it easy to get stuck unintentionally, but I guess that also improved the challenge in a way.

Not bad. Keep working on it

Graphics are good. Had to play for a moment before I got the Gameplay. Sometimes you get stuck in the wall. Quite hard too, because you got no real health.

Took me a bit to figure out how to "tune" the snowballs but overall a successful little game for only... SIX HOURS?!?! You crazy man!

The graphics are neat. I found it hard to get a hold of the "tuning" mechanism, and died a lot.

This is actually pretty cool! I think there's a lot of unexplored terrain with this tuning mechanic. Nice job for a mere 6 hours!

For the timeframe this is very well done. You should be proud of it - it was quite enjoyable.

Took me a bit of time to figure out what I needed to do. I had a bunch of blue snowman after me and only white snow balls. Good job for 6 hours. I would have loved to seen this with 48 hours of time put into it. :)

I liked the snowball tuning. I didn't really expect it at first, but it was pretty fun trying dodge blue snowmen as I dashed for a blue spot on the map.

Simple game, but in the best way possible. Very enjoyable mechanics! You should be proud of this for doing it in 6 hours. Took me about two tries to understand what was happening but it was intuitive enough that no tutorial was needed. (I didn't read the instructions because I'm a noob :) )

Hi there. Like the idea, but died once, couldn't find a way to restart, so reloaded. The snowmen seem a bit lethal and OP. Shame no sounds in game. Be good to have more generous pro-player balance.

PORTS: Ports to other platforms can be done after the deadline. That said, the sooner you finish your port, the sooner people can play your game, improving your chances of placing in the final results. MY GAME DOESN’T SHOW UP: If you can’t find your game, it’s usually because the URL to your downloads are missing ‘http://‘. Fix your URLs ( and you will show up. Alternatively, if you just posted it, wait a minute. The cache may not have refreshed yet.

MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.
