Hello :) ! So my game uses a lot of buttons and other UI features. However I’m not such a good artist when I try using a editor the Images sometimes come out too small or to outlined or the words aren’t aligned correctly.  So I’m searching for a program which you can download and create button, banners, icons, logos etc.  All these can be created simply by filping the switches. The closest thing I found to what I was looking for is Kenney Studio. Kenney says he plans to add in the feature but I don’t know how long it will take (  Of course their are a few online programs but I have no clue where these people are getting their resources and are  they legal or not. So I continue my search, any suggestion ?

I posted this a while back when we released it but I figured I’d repost as things heat up for LD33. This is a simple menu UI / audio package that you can download for free from the Unity Asset Store. There’s a list of functionality below, as well as a live training session I did for Unity’s YouTube about how to set it up and use it here.  If you have questions there’s a forum thread here. Hopefully this helps you focus on making fun games and less on boring stuff during the jam! If you end up using it drop me some feedback on the forum or via twitter (@mattmirrorfish).

You can download it from the Unity Asset Store here, for free

progress #1 on “Feisty Forest”

I’m gonna call my game “Feisty Forest”.

It’s about “Riding Hood” entering the forest once again to reach Grandma’s hut for cookies and whatnot. Along the way, she encountered the Forest Fairy that will open the way to Grandma’s hut if Riding Hood could survive Fairy’s 10 second challenges. Or else… she dies! *horror sfx goes here*.

The challenges will be procedural generated, with some guidance / rules. I’m also trying to limit interaction to just touch and only touch. For desktop users, don’t worry, you can use mouse click instead. Currently listed 3 challenges, and 1 challenge mechanic/prototype done.

In the meantime, here’s the current art for Riding Hood, the color palette and preliminary UI layout:

Things are working here!

I did a little update video on the new things.

I have a working UI and you can select from 2 items to place in the maze – ofcourse you have to buy them first. The Traps are stationery, the monsters are simply randomly traversing the paths.

Next thing is to make them interact with each other. This is the last hard part in the project – I hope I’ll have time for some polishing too.
