I stared writing Bjorn McGomez I at about 1 PM on Sunday, and I wrote it from scratch; the only part that existed before yesterday was the font.
This is the first time I’ve built a game from start to finish, and it’s been a real learning experience. I realize that maybe starting off with just the game model and no actual way of viewing it other than console.log() was probably a bad idea, but it let me rapidly build the rooms and “AI” (I use the term in the loosest possible way – the game won’t be winning any Turing tests anytime soon.)
And then came the procrastinating; I couldn’t decide what kind of setting to slap on top of my code, so I eventually went with “kinda crazy”. Hence the ability to roundhouse-kick and supplex lobster-people.
Also, it’s about being on one screen in three ways. First, you play it on one “screen”. Second of all, the McGuffin you’re after is a screen. Thirdly, the excuse plot is about a military screening operation.
I hope you luverly people give it a try; it does have six endings, which is really a case of the writing getting away from me (it’s really easy to write a “page” when you are using HTML!)
