Hey everybody,

I have make a short video to present my game !

BombardeAlien! Tired of shoting at enemies to kill them? How about shotting aliens to make them fall off your spaceship to a big star under you? Doesn’t it sound exciting? 😛 This is my game for the compo.

There were many things I wanted to put in it that I couldn’t (went out for several hours…), but it is indeed playable, and not only that, it’s hard! Even it’s not that long, I coundn’t beat it yet, it ended up harder than it would be if I had more time… But, come on, together we can beat it! 😀

BombardeAlien Title screen

I had an idea (good, I think) for a music, but time didn’t let me make it.

It was made in Game Maker 6.1 (only for Windows, therefore).

The graphics, in MS Paint and Game Maker’s built-in image editor (it has some nice functions). Oh, sure, and with a graphics tablet. 😉 And with paper and pencil before that…

So, let’s play! Let the aliens come, let the aliens fall. :)

Hello everyone!

We are very tired, and our sanity was affected for the rest of our live because of Qt5 (Burn in hell Qt5!!). Anyway, the game is here :
Take the command of an awesome spaceship built by yourself, and convey through the infinite space some exotic space-pets to gain money!
But don’t forget : Minimalism! To progress faster in the game, to gain special power and a big score, you must build the minimal ship possible to win each level.

You can try the game here :

In the downloaded folder, start Spaceship.exe. Linux and mac version soon!

We hope you will enjoy. The game is a bit difficult to learn, but there is many in game information, and very soon we will post a website with tutorial.
Good luck!

beesI’m not entirely sure what just happened. I woke up in a strange place with a computer in front of me. A post-it note on the computer said, “You have 48 hours to make a game or we let you go.” Well, crap. We certainly wouldn’t want THAT, would we?

So I booted the computer and found myself in a Google Hangout with Mariah Almeida and Will Brierly. They were in a similar situation, though Will luckily had an unlimited supply of soda to sustain him. We therefore agreed that he’d be the one programming the game. I’d be on sound, since I love me some SFXR, and Mariah would do animations.

Well, we knew the theme was “Minimalism.” How did we know that? Don’t ask, it wasn’t established! We had also previously heard that the theme for this months One-Game-A-Month was “Spring.” Therefore, by combining these two themes together, and throwing in some POTATOES for good measure, we created… this.

The game has you controlling a little spaceship that shoots bees to pollinate potatoes, meanwhile trying to avoid the dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you. And… that’s pretty much all there is to it.

Interestingly this game was created as kind of a stream of consciousness from all three of us. After the Google Hangout, Mariah went and drew 4 random things. I went and made 4 random sound effects. Will created 4 random game mechanics. We them smashed them together and called it a game.

This game has no title but you can play it here:

We are still currently trapped in our respective locations. Please send supplies.
