Gradience – Final Update

It’s done. It’s live. I’m dead inside.

Gradience has been submitted and I didn’t actually get around to building out the level progression like I had planned. As it stands… it’s a vaguely pretty demonstration of a game idea that might be good… in another life.

GIF 4 : The Reckoning!

Salutations and celebrations! The deed is done. I had a plan and more or less managed to complete it.
Very little sleeping was done in total (7h), not a lot of junk food was eaten surprisingly and even the shower got a bit of use.

It seems Google Drive has changed again and the hosting doesn’t quite work for Unity Web player anymore. Any ideas to go around this kind of stuff?

Well a gif walkthrough will just have to do then.

Woke up from an accidentally long nap after work, only to see the competition had started without me!  How rude!  I don’t have a huge amount of free time this weekend, but I’m going to try my best to finish an entry anyway.  In my past LD efforts I’ve always worked with some form of Python – I’m going a new route this weekend and working in Javascript, to go alongside the efforts I’m making with #JS13k.

My game has been titled “The Bifrost Project” – for the moment I’ll leave it to your imagination as to what that might be about!  Once I get a bit further along I’ll post some screens, and a link to the working prototype!

First day of LD48 weekend is coming to the end (22:30 is too late for me). I did more than I thought: menu, battle system and many other things. I am getting tired right now…

Coming out of a really rough work week, I managed to sleep for about ten hours and I still feel horrid… but I’m gonna try to create something this weekend!  Still just starting out with the idea phase, but I’ll probably work on a rogue-like using Python/Pygame.  Great success for all!

Chonosome used SLEEP. It’s SUPER EFFECTIVE!

I can feel myself slipping away as I type these words, but I am sticking to my plan and posting a screenshot before I pass out.  I’m about half-way done with combat… still need the actual damage calculations worked out… might do it half-way for now, and come back and implement elements/weaknesses/whatever later, if time permits.

But actually, first thing’s first.  Screenshot and sleep.  I’ll have about 12 hours left tomorrow, plus or minus… who knows how much content I’ll get to add… not nearly so much as I’d hoped, but… ah well!  Good night, LD Crew, and good luck!
