We Are One

A pretty simple game, but I’m having a lot of fun with it.
Pressing the right arrow has the play jump to the right and pressing the left arrow has the player jump to the left.
Basically, the player has to wall jump their way to the golden cube.
Oh and did I forget to mention, there are 9 players all controlled by the same two keys. All 9 need to reach their respective goal as quickly as possible.

Ion Programming are in again for their 8th LD. We’ll be entering the jam again and hopefully do better than last time. Our entries are getting progressively better and more polished each time, so hopefully we’ll win something this time around.

As usual, we’ll┬ábe running on a tight schedule because of our school/uni commitments.

We’ve planned, and hopefully we’ll stick to it, to make a very simple game. Lots of time spent planning and polishing, hopefully keeping the core of the development to just over a day.

Our arsenal of tools will include, as usual:

  • Java
  • Eclipse
  • Git
  • Photoshop
  • Paint.NET
  • Ableton Live
  • Audacity
  • This amazing musical engineering masterpiece:

  • SFXR
  • And anything else we need…

Charles S. Exeter’s new book now has a cover!

The most  profound writer of our generation, Charles S. Exeter is sharing with us the most important information on how to live as a human in this overwhelming modern age.

Look for it in stores, April 1989!

Woken up, checked the theme, been out of a walk to get the ideas flowing.

I think I have a rough idea of a suitably simple, if not particularly interesting, game to shoot for. Time to get stuck in to code!
