The Sentient Cube: all the potatoes
So, yeah. With family and such I wasn’t able to pull together the basic movement system until today. I set a reasonable expectation for myself, a one button Pac-man. However the delay cost me not being able to add more levels, smooth the movement or find all the little bugs in the movement. Still for my first LD I think I managed all right.
Without further delay, I introduce:
MINI the MALISM Potatoe Beetle
Tools: Game Maker Studio (only because of the notice of 3 hours before it started) and some MS Paint.
The Sentient Cube is Potato-Proved
Beyond Minimalism and potatos ^_^
Here is my entry: Beyond Minimalism
P.S. This post just for participate in potato challenge and lolz =)
And my first Ludum Dare comes to a satisfying close
Here’s my entry:
It’s like Katamari Damacy and Crazy Taxi put together. Although I call it an Action game, it’s more puzzle-y than it looks. To spice up things a little bit, I did add a few power-ups and physics changes.
Also, obligatory potato screenshot:
Well, we are quite far into our game! Always a nice surprise.
Anyway, potato. These are the most vicious enemies in the game, ruthless, high spawn rate, and there’s a whole secret room dedicated to them.
Official Potato Challenge
Remember my kitten challenge? This is the same thing… but with the humble potato. To honour our spudly brothers who will inevitably come in dead last, I challenge YOU to add a POTATO somewhere in your game as an easter egg. Just for laughs, and to enjoy the a-peel of this mash-up without chips on your shoulders. Tag your posts with #potato.
