Thank you very much everybody for such great and constructive feedback to our entry Long Long: A snake lies in the Past. We appreciate and read every single one of them. We want to get better and make better games in the future and you guys helped us get to the next step in the process.

We reworked and updated our game for a Post LD version with better controls, more checkpoints, and much more.

Almost every Ludum Dare we’re spending the first day arguing about the game idea… And this time was not an exception.
First idea was about little toy growing in the water, which you have to observe one hour in real time hoping something will happen (sort of arthouse game), but it seemed a bit unplayable and we’ve put it aside.
Second one was a bit better: nuclear wasteland and little sprout which is taken care of by little clumzy robot on the tracks. But the game seemed a bit complex in terms of graphics and we would have to call it “Wall-e” to put everything in place.

And the third idea didn’t exist. So we had to think of something.

On the second day graphics and drafts of gameplay were born. Every team member had their business to do irl, which interfered in the development process.

And on the third day we’ve discovered that all the code should be made from scratch, graphics can’t be made as we’ve planned, and the gameplay wasn’t thought over really much… It was made during the process of the final polishing.

The only thing which was coming out smooth and without critical changes was music. Composer hit the spot.

Overall, every Ludum is a challenge for us, but that only makes it interesting.
