Joining this ludum dare as a team of five we thought that we would get five times as much content done. We learned that we need to practice making more games together. Now go save the pigeons!

Roni just finished the skill system!

Now the pigeon attacks, heals, lands crits and uses popcorn to summon a flock of pigeons* and attack both enemies.


Next steps: progression in enemy spawns and pigeon leveling up! 😀

*Flock of pigeons not included (yet).

We’re done for the night, gotta get some sleep now!

Major systems are in, but there’s a lot of work waiting for us tomorrow. We still need to implement the majority of the skills and insert the metagame on it. Look, here’s the pigeon beating some grumpy old guys.



Your basic attack only damages the first enemy, while the one in the back attacks you at a steady rate.

Skills further down the action line can attack both enemies at once, heal the pidgeon, freeze the guy in the back or even upgrade the pidgeon.

Every time you use a skill, a new one is picked at random and put in place. Playing multiple sessions unlocks new actions. Sounds cool, and we’re doing our best to make it live to its promise!

Of pigeons, pirates and perilous popcorn

Hey guys!

So here we are: Roni, Carol, Di Zapata and guest designer @lipedal from Luderia (happens to be me! :D)

So, we decided to make a quick casual action RPG in which you’re a pirate pigeon fighting to survive a series of increasingly difficult battles using tools such as band-aids, a swarm of pigeons, and insulting.


Basically you have a basic attack and 3 skills of increasing power. With a quick tap of the spacebar or a mouse click, the pigeon lands a basic attack. Or you could hold the button for a little while to charge a bar up and use one of the special skills, like heal, stun or the bubonic plague.

Thing is: you’re way more vulnerable when you’re charging, because the enemies get the time to attack…
