Hi, just a word to announce a small update which fix all the main bugs my compo game had (PC and Android Cardboard). Otherwise it is still the mighty original 48h compo game.
Let me know if you have any idea of improvement, I’ll try to spend some time on it later!

Oh and maybe I’ll also write a short post mortem soon

Creating The Monster – Finished(ish)

My 2nd Ludum Dare done, and first time entering the compo (Good Luck me!)

I decided to take the Virtual Pet genre, and strip it to its basics. This ended up reminding me of spinning multiple plates, and making sure none of them fall. Then I added a weird “win” state, because feature-creep I guess?

My only problem in development this time came at the end (figures…). When testing it in the editor, and even playing on the Web, or on Android, it runs fine. In Standalone .exe version however, the buttons don’t work properly. The area to click on is to the left of the buttons, in some cases more than others.

Nevertheless, I’ve uploaded every version (and hopefully have done the source code correctly). I’ll try to fix the Standalone version ASAP, but for now, I sleep.

For LD27, I created a robotic face-matching game, and I have since rebuilt that prototype into a new game with more modes, more polish, and more fun called Roboticon.

1024x300_Feature1

It is free for iOS and Android. It gets really fun to play with friends when you get to the upper levels. Oh, and I also added cats (an optional IAP)! Please check it out.

Hiya folks!

We’re Whitesnake out of Austin, TX.

Whitesnake!

A hardy and handsome bunch, right? We’re all students roughing it at The University of Texas at Austin. We’ve all just finished with our final exams and we’re raring to continue our trend of stressful, sleepless crunch work for LD28!

Here’s theChris, our lead programer and executive producer (we’re set up in his living room)

Our excited interns interns Antonio and Axel (who are Latin American!)

Look how excited they are! It’s their first time working with Unity, so we’re having them and their youthful enthusiasm pair program.

I’m aomeng, here’s my ugly mug:

Whitesnake’s got a few ideas kicking around for a first-person Unity game, so stay tuned for when we decide on one! We’re currently networking our computers together and setting up git:

We’re looking forwards to scope creep and poor breakfast decisions! To be continued….
