    Yamanu Game Engine 1.3

    Hey guys!

Yamanu 1.3 is now officially here! I apologize for the recent or now starting confusion on which version is what. The version for Ludum Dare 30 was 1.2. Now it is 1.3, because things were added and changed. I have a sort of changelog/demonstration video here. You can download Yamanu and/or the source code here. Thank you guys for all of your support! I really appreciate it! My Yamanu 1.2 video has over 80 views, and is the most viewed video on my channel. There’s also been a fair amount of downloads, so at least some of you are taking a look! 1.3 doesn’t add amazing features, but it fixed some annoying things, and did add a few cool features. Check out the video for more details. Hopefully I can get 1.4 out before Ludum Dare 31! Again, your support helps motivation, so if you want to see more, tell me you want more! Shoot me an email ([email protected]) and let me know what you think.

    Thanks!

Who needs a theme when you’ve got spunk and moxxy?

Alright, this is the first Ludum Dare and I already know what game I’m going to make. What about the theme, you ask? That’s easy; I don’t need a theme, or rules, or reason. I’ve already come up with the best 48-hour game idea.

Check it… A dystopian future. Aliens are running amok being douches. You, a super bad-ass space warrior, have to stop them.

    Bullets? Check.
    Epic space battles? Check.
You, walking in slow motion towards the camera with unreasonably-large explosions behind you? Triple check.
Slightly creepy but adorable love story involving you, a computer, and a shotgun? Check.
    Zombies? No. Get over it.

At the edge of your seats? Of course you are. Now sit back and enjoy the orgasmic cover art for the game.

That’s right, there’s a cover already. I know; you may feel all the jealousy. And, without further ado, here is the art that’s gonna blow your fuggin’ mind socket!

    Wait for it…

    Waaaaaiiiit for it.

    Boom.

Believe it folks! My game has won the Game of the Year Award, and I haven’t even started writing code for it. Believe it: the evolution of combat… and, um… halos… have begun.

Er…… why is everyone looking at me like that? You guys must be nervous of my totally-innovative idea………………. right?

    :-P

In all seriousness, I can’t wait to participate and learn from this experience!

    The Corruption – New Game!

So I actually sat down and made a game with no time limit or anything! It’s a small one, but at least it’s finished unlike the other billion projects I left lying around. :P

    Here it is on Kongregate:

    The Corruption

The Corruption is a First Person Free-Running game where you have to run from the approaching darkness. Uses Shift/RMB to run and C/Ctrl to crouch.

Please give it a play and if possible a rating.

    Happy Gaming! <3

Hello! I’m Frederick and this is my first time participating in ludum dare, and I’m very excited!
    BUT, also I’m very lost!
If anyone could help me telling me the basics and where and how I can vote I would appreciate very much!

    Code Library/Base Code?

Hey, I’m fairly new to programming as a whole and I was wondering to what exactly qualifies as “base code” or a “Code Library”? I’m aware of the obvious ones that are available publicly such as Flixel, Box2D, ect. I’m more concerned about the personal libraries. For example, would an A* pathfinding system qualify as either of those?
