I’ve been updating my game.

Now there’s more sound, a mute option, tweaked enemies, and better game-play.

Yggdrasil: fixed minor bugs

I have uploaded a new version. It does not have any significative change (because it is a Ludum Dare entry), but I have fixed some messed up collisions. I have modified the player’s physics too, now it has a smoother control and it is less slippery.

Why don’t you give it a try? I will really appreciate it! Also, any feedback will be welcome! Play it here

Found it!

If you want to play my entry, just click here. Any feedback will be wellcome! (I will also try your game in return)

If you are looking for the famous mosaic, it is here:

Hi guys,

I made a maze-solving game called Pyramid. It is about adventurer wandering through the labyrinths of an ancient pyramid.

In each level he has to find the ladder before the light runs out and the mummy catches him.

To assist him on the way he has the knowledge out about a technology to rotate the pyramid because the light source is coming only from one side.

  • I knew what i was doing the whole time.
  • I managed to get the code done relatively quickly. The first version was done on first day.
  • Everything was done by myself.
  • Some friends played it during development and told me their perspectives. I thought it is not a good idead to show the unfinished prototype but surprisingly it helped a lot.

  • Spent too much time on graphics because I am not good at it.
  • Tried to do the sound and music myself and this is the reason why the game has no sound and no music. I was not able to put together egyptian-sounded music that was not horrible.
  • On last day I haven’t slept much only two hours. I think this was mistake because all the stuff from than took at least twice as time as it should take normally.

For the next time:

  • Just find the music online.
  • Sleep more :-)
  • Get more friends to play it during to tell me what is wrong.

LD was fun and the feeling of having the game done is very rewarding. Already waiting for the next jam :-)

Aaand big gratulations to all who managed to finish the game.

Now let’s play,

Archaeologist Simulator

I wanted this simulator to be as authentic as possible, so I spent a lot of time studying archaeologists in movies and in video games. In Archaeologist Simulator you play an archaeologist exploring some ancient ruins, but other teams of archaeologists from rival museums are finding more treasure and ancient technologies than you are! Luckily you brought your shotgun!

Post-Mortem updates.

I’ve been doing a lot of taking feed back. So, some improvements:

Faster game-play. (Opposite of what people recommended , it’s actually better)

Fixed Camera.

New animation before enemies spawn (So you can tell where enemies will spawn).

My LD36 entry is here

If you liked the original, slower version you can get it here

Started late.

Started late as I was a little busy over the weekend. But making some good progress. Game has simple mechanics that are mainly just plain interactions with objects (push, pull etc). Focusing mainly on exploration with a hint of platforming in there too. Here’s a gif of a strange temple off in the distance.

More screenshots to come as I finish this over the course of today.

Good Morning #LDJAM!

Here are some more of our previous day work visuals.
We still need Jam-time to put them all together and integrate more gameplay. Hopefully the remaining time will be sufficient.

Fixed the camera for my entry. Each time you jumped you couldn’t see the enemies below you, it was annoying.

Late “I’m in” post

I’m in for a second try at Ludum Dare. My first one was a year ago, and I really overestimated what I could do in such a small amount of time. For this time, I have drastically changed my tools and learned enormous amounts of programming skills since then, which should help a lot. I also hopefully got my streaming setup right this time. Like last time, I’m entering the jam in solo, because my friend who was interested in participating with me had some other appointments already.

If you would like to follow my progress, you will be able to find it on twitch ( hopefully starting between 7:30am and 8:00am GMT time. I will also get my timelapse sorted and most important of all, create something amazing (that I can hopefully post) and enjoy myself in the process.

Thanks for reading! Everyone, have a great Ludum Dare!
