You are a farmer who owns the last standing farm after the great Aids Bomb.
Grow crops during the day, and fight aids-ridden attackers at night.
Game created during Ludum Dare 37. The theme was “One Room“
Since it was made during a Game Jam, it is very simple at the moment. I am planning on adding a couple of things afterwards:
- Actual models for the Aids Attackers (With Ragdolls)
- Textures to the house and weapons
- Maybe Destructible House (Not like the “Destructible” chairs in the house already, I just put those there for shits and giggles.
Crazy-crazy-crazy #BUTERATOS very-very soon!
Before we finish…
Hi everyone!
While we’re debugging and checking the last details before we submit our game, we want to show you the main theme of ”The Dash Club”.
We hope you enjoy!!
After two days of hard work, we finally found some time to post – so here are the toys at war!
We have added chairomancers that summon chairs that hurls themselves at the player.
LD #37 quick VR test before going to sleep.
Saturday, December 10th, 2016 11:57 pmI decided to defer sleep for a bit, to also do a quick VR test. Dropped my libgoatvr library, and entered my unfinished room in VR with the Oculus Rift DK2.
Now I’m really going to sleep.
LD #37 first (half) day progress.
Saturday, December 10th, 2016 11:30 pmSpent all night modelling the room in blender, and it’s not close to finished yet. Grew sick and tired of boring modelling, so I then pulled code from my free software projects, and loaded a test export of the unfinished room with assimp.
Here’s a screenshot of the first real-time rendering of my room. Rudimentary GL fixed function lighting, and walking around in first person without collisions:
Took 3 hours to build a portal system in Unity last night. There’s still a lot of setup going on. I know this looks like we’re making Portal, but we’re really not. We have a more or less different use for portals in our game, where the player always returns to a common room “The One Room” and can get to other worlds by passing through the room. Once in one of the worlds, the player can pick up the door behind them, move it to another wall, and open it, and it will always lead back to the room.
Actually, the portals are the easy part here. The hard part was figuring out how to load and unload levels without showing a “loading” screen. Glad I didn’t personally work on that part 😀
Big Bug Games first update!
First update!
Here you have the first sketch of the idea we had. It’s a 2d disco dancing dodging something game… We really don’t know how to describe it. The only thing you need to know is that lizards DO know how to dance.
Hope you enjoy the final version in 59h!
