Made some dramatic sea-monster-y background music. First time trying to compose anything for a game jam, but I like how it turned out:

Also, the shore is now populated—when boats land, rejoicing people will appear around them.

The Cure

Final touches in the morning. The town is practically finished now. Couple of sound adjustments needed, and then I think I should be good! Let’s see how we go. This is what it looks like at the moment.

All the best for the final hours!

First Screenshots and WE’RE IN

We haven’t posted yet, so WE’RE IN!

Doing the jam this time around, we came up with a twist on the theme – one which means a lot to us gamers, as you play as one of the most infamous and monstrous (heh)  game studios around – EA AE because we’re scared of them.

Props to anyone who can figure out what the text on the left is from.

Draggable and closable windows in Unity - woo!

Draggable and closable windows in Unity – woo!

We’re using Unity 5.1.2, Pixen and (eventually) Audacity for the music!

Good luck to everyone else doing the jam, it’s a fantastic experience and we’re loving it!

Ok. So have most things done that I wanted. Still need to add more to the town. It’s a slow process but easy enough. I would like to add a bit for scenery. But we will see how we go for time.

Now you know what’s in the boats you’re sinking. Ain’t being a monster grand?

One day into my first Ludum Dare: http://www.arcadonauts.com/special/ludumdare33.

I wish I had a more original idea, but this is it.

As of this post, no sound yet. That will come tomorrow.

Made the happy discovery that LÖVE supports pixel shaders now; used that to make the character’s tentacles more tentacley and to make a simple sinking effect for the boats.

What’s up guys?
I present to you our game: Inhumanoids. It’s an web/mobile action game where you control a monster and have to smash every human and vehicles in a city. Kill civilians, tanks and planes!
We are a team of two, one programmer and one artist, and we are using Unity.
Bellow a small gif of our art:

Looks like a spankler, lol!

See ya!

Sound adds sooo much atmosphere!

So created sounds effects and a music track for my game. Adds so much atmosphere!
Finally put the monster effect into the game. Quite happy with the progress being made! Despite the initial trouble with the theme.

After a break I’ll be back to add more to the town and more gameplay!

Before Monster. (Particle effects added)

Crashing boats!

Got a ton of gameplay done. It’s kinda fun already, though the dragging-boats-around doesn’t quite feel right yet. I might have to make the player bounce out of collisions as well—passing through the boats is kind of unsatisfying. Still, progress!

Pretty happy with the progress today. Still got quite a bit to do.
Tomorrows focus:
Implement the monster theme! (Looking forward to that!)
Add sound awesome sound and music.
Add more to town map.
And hopefully have a accomplish-able game.

Bring on day two!

So wasted the first 5/6 hours trying different ideas, and finally think I have something. Sort of an ongoing development. Not 100% sure of what is is going to be. But basic collisions, movement and NPC’s working good. Working on text interaction with NPC’s next then maybe a bit more of a story line and level development. Yay.

Is it too late? I sure hope not! Great theme this time so perhaps i’ll be able to make something out of it  :) Last time, i had problems grasphing the theme.

I’ll be using FlashDevelop as the IDE, Haxe/Openfl ( Possibly haxeflixel) and Gimp.

Good luck!

Here we are for the LD33 with a small team, 2 artists and 2 programmers/GD.

Using JavaScript with the DreamEngine and NodeJS we are going on a 2D multiplayer game, based on the card game “werewolves”.

Here is a first art :)

We plan on other monsters kind, today we have to go faster on code ^^ (yeah it was 3am at the beginning of the jam)
