I scraped together some base-code from a currently ongoing project and removed the game-specific parts. Now It’s just an example with a chipmunk2d body dropping on a plane.
It’s C and Guile. I’ve got no Idea how to bulid guile on windows, might find it out in 2 days.


By the way, I already made a ☃-themed  game for a LD-warmup 2 years ago.

It even had a  snowman

I’ll be using:

Engine: Unity Pro (jam licence thanks to the lovely people at Unity<3)

Graphics: Good ol’ Photoshop

Sounds: Probably sfxr or none

Music: Probably Fruity Loops if I have time

Hosting: Game Jolt!

I’m in! I might as well be, seeing as my life has been completely empty and awful for the last few weeks… *shutters*


I SHALL be using:

Engine: Stencyl

Graphics: paint.NET

Music: Whatever I can figure out to use, like always.

I’m in – My forth LudumDare Compo

So as the title says I’m in for my fourth LudumDare, I’m hoping that being away from game development for a little while will have helped with not making a mountain out of a mole hill for the 48 hour compo.

So let’s hope this one goes further than any of my other games.


The following are my weapons of choice:

Engine – Unity3d.

Graphics – Photoshop and Maybe Inkscape.

Programming Language – C#.

Audio – Bfxr, Fakemusicgenerator and FL Studio.


I will make my descision on what style I do when the themes go through. I’m still debating on the visual style at the moment and if it will be 2d or 3D.

I’ll try to make a timelapse or live stream the entire event.

This time I might try Construct 2, we’ll see.

Other tools will be Adobe CC and FL Studio. And this time I really want to make sounds by smacking things together and recording it with my phone, but as per usual the fallback is sfxr.

Generic “I’m In” Post!

I will be entering Ludum Dare 31! (Obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing an “I’m In” post.)

I will be using:

Language: C# or Java

Engine: Unity, or writing a quick one myself in Java.

IDE: MonoDevelop or Eclipse

Asset Creation: Paint.NET, Blender, SFXR

Libraries: Standard Unity libraries, or standard Java libraries and LWJGL


I will also try to do a time lapse, because I find watching game dev time lapses fun.
