0000 on Steam Greenlight.

Hello everyone!

My game, 0000, is finally on Steam Greenlight! I’d really appreciate your votes and feedback. This game is a love letter to games like VVVVVV, Super Meatboy, N++ and Hero Core. I tried to make a game I’d love to play and I hope it will show – and that others will enjoy it as much as I did. Here’s the trailer and description of the game.

This game started as an LDJAM 31 entry and I polished + added 100 levels to make is as challenging and fun as possible. Let’s hope it shows!

0000 is a hard-as-nails platformer in which you play as a courageous 1-bit cowboy. With your weapon and awesome double jump, your task is to defeat 100 unique levels. Fear not, in 0000 death is never final. Each failure warps you into a new, randomly selected level, until you conquer them all. What awaits those that get to the end? Err… spoilers, dude!

Let’s hope you’re not scared of deadly lasers or evil robots. How about killer pong-style balls and sharp spikes? You better be up for a challenge.

From Ludum Dare 31 to Steam Greenlight

Friday, October 16th, 2015 2:23 am

Hello fellow devs,

We haven’t been on Ludum Dare page for a while and we wanted to share our project with you that we’ve been working on since Ludum Dare 31.

We went from this prototype (Old Bounce’):

Bounce ’em Up – Old

To this:

Bounce ’em Up – New

Our game Bounce ’em Up is now on Steam Greenlight. We have a bit in-depth post on our Greenlight page that you can check out here: From LD31 to Greenlight – Bounce ’em Up
It has been quite a journey for us. In between these events we participated in Imagine Cup 2015 Games Competition were we came out as 2nd place winners!

This community and Ludum Dare game jam helped us get where we are today, and we’re still moving forward. We hope to inspire the developers here to do the same and keep working on their projects. If you’d like to know more, get in touch with us.

Hey guys!

Didn’t get to market quite as quick as Titan Souls did, lol, but I had to go hunt down a team after Rude Bear Resurrection and get funding. But we’re finally confirmed for Xbox One/Playstation 4/PS Vita, but aren’t quite on Steam yet! Gotta get through greenlight.

I will love you forever if you give a fellow serial jammer a chance to be on Steam:

Here’s a video:

And some screens:

Rather different than the original:

Thanks for any votes! <33333

Camera Obscura Release!

Many moons ago, I was on here plugging our game Camera Obscura, which was on Steam Greenlight at the time.  Well, we made it through, and we’re releasing the game on Steam on February 19th!  This is the first game I’ve worked on to be published on a major platform, so I’m pretty excited.  You should visit our Steam page, check out our new trailer, and see how far we’ve come.

If you missed my first post, Camera Obscura is a sidescrolling puzzle-platformer with a unique mechanic that allows you to take a picture of the geometry around you, then move it with you for a few seconds.  You can use it to bridge wide gaps, create staircases up cliffs, and solve other, more intricate, puzzles.  It takes place in a mysterious tower in a forgotten land, and features amn

This site has been a huge part of my personal journey to this point.  I also wanted to thank you so much for your support on Greenlight!  I don’t doubt that the members of this site helped the game get approved.

Thank you again!

Hi folks!

I started making ‘Guild of Dungeoneering‘ for the 2013 LD October Challenge and decided to keep going until it is a full-on for-sale commercial game. Starting tomorrow I will be a full-time indie, and hope to finish it in the next few months.

I have just submitted it to Steam Greenlight so if you’d like to vote for it there that would be amazing:

Vote early, vote often!

We have also just finished the trailer for the game which you can check out here:

As a little comparison, here’s what it looked like at the end of October – and how it looks now!

Then: a mix of programmer art & free art

Now: with REAL art!

Now: with REAL art!

Thanks for being a fantastic community, Ludum Dare!

SuperHot Steam greenlight

SuperHot is a game that was made for the 7DFPS competition. This is one of the games which has gone above and beyond to be on Steam Greenlight. If you would take a second, and if have a Steam account, it would be a mean alot to this guy if you would push for his game.

It is always really cool to see Indies make it to something more “traditional” such as Greenlight. Some pretty big gamers are pushing this one. Including Dan Hardcastle (Nerd^3). So, he might have a chance of approval!
You can Steam Greenlight it here:

Or, if you want to try it before you approve it by all means go ahead:
(Unity Web build.)

Getting games like this only further validates things like Ludum Dare. We should really push for things like this when they come up. Anyway, sorry for the mini-rant. Vote it up!

Camera Obscura – my game on Steam Greenlight

Hello fellow game developers,

I wanted to make a plug for a game I’ve just submitted to Steam Greenlight.  The game is called Camera Obscura, and it’s being developed by a small group of college students from UC Irvine.  We started it in a game jam almost two years ago, and we liked the idea so much that we’ve continued to develop it into a full-length game.

Camera Obscura is a puzzle-platformer that revolves around a unique mechanic that allows the player to activate a camera flash so bright that it creates “afterimages” of all visible platforms.  These platforms are solid enough to walk on, and they can be moved around for a short time, mimicking the player’s movements.  This ability allows players to cross wide chasms, reach high platforms, and otherwise alter the shape of the environment to accomplish the ultimate goal – reaching the top of the mysterious Tower.  You can see some gameplay footage here to get a better idea.

The Greenlight page is right here.  We’d really love your support and your feedback!

The game also has a full, custom soundtrack by the amazing Trenton Ng, and we’ve shared a few of the tracks here:

Thanks for your time,
Brian MacIntosh
