[Play and Rate] [Post Mortem]
Made for LD 46.
I wasted far too much time yesterday on an overly ambitious idea, and decided to give up on it. But at least I’m now having fun playing around with godot and physics. I think I now have the bones of an idea for a game, which I don’t think Ill have ready for this one. I really love this competition because it motivates to at least try do something. Maybe next time. Good luck to those all still going, look forward to trying out some of the entries.
Hello everyone
I want to present you our 6th LD game and 4th game made with godot engine.
We have had tones of fun inventing, creating, programming, designing and testing it.
The last part is presentation. I’m not so good at presenting something but I want to tell you some anecdotes.
My Idea on Sunday was, I wanted that the player loses clothes when he got hurt. (a joke perhaps nobody would see!!)
On Saturday night we had all the player animations and design ready.
So we let him lose first the hat, than the robe. (player has three hearts)
While testing we noticed, the dead animation used the hat.
This dead animation was so cool, we don’t wan’t to change it.
What piece of clothing can he lose now? The underpants?
Finally we did it! We were so tired, the whole process took us 4 hours!
We’ve added an other joke, find it out be your self.
You can find our game here Wizard of Shapes
thank you for playing, commenting and voting
Pigs have rights too.
My Ludum Dare 35 entry is about pigs going on strike because they’re sick of being processed into bacons.
We are on a good progress.
The prototype has his shapes! We only need to shift it!

Hello,
I’ve finally found time to participate in Ludum Dare!
Although it’s tempting to use bare C++ with OpenGL, I’ll probably use some third-party engine ( Godot or Unity or Panda3D, not decided yet ). For graphics I’ll have my girlfriend help and for audio…I think I’ll have to make some procedural noises (I’m a little musically challenged :-P).
Good luck and have fun
Sneak into houses, find the right bed, roar near pillow and scare the sleeping resident!
The game was created entirely (music, sound effects, graphics) in the jam days, no prework were done.
As game engine we used godot.
You like to create games more visually (like me) than you need to try it out perhaps it fits your workflow.
When you like to play and rate our game you can find it here Scream Hunter
or listen to the game music https://soundcloud.com/andydnet/sets/ludum-dare-33-game-compo-music .
Thanks from the whole team for voting and commenting.
I have the pleasure to announce it’s my first LD and I’m very exited with this fun event. For now, I have worked most on GDD and a little bit on Sketch of the character. I decided to not use Krita anymore which was used to make the character on this image. I will be back to Gimp, because Krita deserves much more learning to take full advantage of software. The game will be made with Godot Game Engine. I will rest a little bit dreaming with this event. Thankyou !
Hi people of the web !
First LudumDare.
Going to try with these tools :
– engine : surely Godot 1.1beta1
– graphics : probably Gimp
– sound : maybe Audacity and microphone
I’ve decided that unless I work with Eniko for this LD, I’m using Godot. As part of warmup/learning the engine, I’ve created some very basic stock stuff to start my game off with. As per rulez for the compo, I am making it available for everyone to use if they want.
It has a splash screen on which the logo fades in and then out while a sound plays and a handy function for changing scenes that gets called at the end of the fade animation to bring up the start scene. The start scene is so small you can’t see it, but this also includes [what should be] working progress bar code for scene loading.
I might update this again before the jam starts, but in the meantime… \o/ Viva Ludum Dare!
