SUNFURY

SUNFURY Team:

>Tom – Unity programmer
>Rom – Character Designer
>Artur – General Designer
>Assaf – Music

We must say, that we really had too many unpredictable occurrences,
therefore we couldn’t work full time on the game
yet, we’re pretty satisfied with the final result,
especially because it’s our first time trying Unity and going 3D
(All our previous games were developed in Gamer Maker engine)

Hopefully you’ll like what we came up with :)

Oh and, it’s very recommended to play with your friends since the bots aren’t that smart atm ^-^”

Plans for the future:

Better Graphics – particles, lots of effects, better GUI

More POWERUPS – we already have some in mind, but if you feel creative and have an awesome powerup let us know and we might add it +credit to you

Better AI – Tom is researching machine learning (using generation Neat algorithm) and it’s going pretty well, in worse case, we’ll try to program better one ourselves

Maybe More Arenas – we already thought about some other unique arenas such as an arena made of trampolines but we’ll see

Network Game – play against your friends online!

Mobile Version – we might think about a mobile version, but there’s still time until we get to that…

if you have any other ideas that you think will improve the game please let us know and have a big credit if we accept them!

Comments given not appearing on Feedback Friends

Sorry for yet another post on the matter. It seems the comments that I’ve given aren’t appearing under the corresponding section. Is it a bug? or is there a quirk I’m not aware of?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

ps. working on a postmortem

Feedback Friends suggestion

EDIT: Nevermind, I made a fool out of myself asking for something that was already here and that I was not aware of. But on a side note, it seems the comments that I’ve given aren’t appearing under the corresponding section, might there be something I’m doing wrong or that i’m not aware of?

I know it might not be a wise idea to expand the Feedback Friends site knowing that the new site is coming, but a nice feature would be to have a way to know how many games we have commented so far. And a bit like the old ratings display of the previous LDs, it would also be cool to see which games we have commented on, in order to keep track of our most/least favorites and this kind of thing.

I didn’t want to make a post just for that but I couldn’t find a place dedicated to that.

Special voting category for ‘friends’ of LD

I was thinking about this ‘friends’ of Ludum Dare judging debate.

Grumpy-Cat-01

What if we gave contributers to the LD community who aren’t contestants a special category to vote in. You can think of this as a separate “Overall” category for people who support this community, but don’t submit a game. Regular contestants (e.g. the developers themselves) would not have access to vote in this category. This special category could be opened up to the ‘friends’ of LD that PoV mentioned, as well as others.

Our category listing would look something like this:

  • Overall
  • Fun
  • Innovation
  • Audio
  • Graphics
  • Theme
  • Humor
  • Mood
  • Community
  • Coolness

It seems like some people are feeling like outsiders even though they’re an important part of what we do. We should do what we can to address that. If we want more people like them to take interest, we need to give newcomers a reason to spend time on us. Such a system would allow us to preserve the peer review element of the currently judged categories while allowing non contestants the ability to have their voices heard in an official capacity. I’m not suggesting we implement it for LD32 necessarily, but maybe for LD33 as part of our site rebuild.

I’d like to hear your thoughts on this!

When the date comes, I dont know how but it left about 10h to complete the games when I hit the Ludum Dare contests xD

Well, this time I knew that I wanted to make a different game , it resulted into this

you can play here:
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-26/?action=preview&uid=10960

some explanations…
The game needs two people, I think it is important to play with other person from time to time, with this videogame I want to help people to get friends more near :)

I made this game with ShiVa 3D engine, one of the 14 best game engines out there right now…well, time for you to evaluate!

I’m not alone for the LD15
