I will be using Clickteam Fusion.

I’m in, not so sure if I will make it out.

I say this because this is my first LD and as a person who works terribly under pressure I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish it. I shall try my best, though. I’ll be working solo either way but I’ll aim for the compo. If not, then the jam it is. Hopefully I will have something finished by the end of this.

Tools I will be using:
Programming: Game Maker: Studio.

Art: MS Paint(don’t you dare laugh (no pun intended)), GIMP.

Music: FL Studio.

SFX: Most likely Bfxr.

This is my first time doing a game jam of any kind so here I go! I’ll probably only do the regular Jam, seeming as I basically do everything myself ? Don’t have much video game programming experience but a trial by fire is a good way to get going!

Hazardisc is a single-screen action/fighting with single player and two player local competitive modes. You can play with the Keyboard or Xinput Gamepads, no need to toggle between the two the game will recognize which input you are using.

Check out Hazardisc on the Ludum Dare Page Here

Still a lot of game left to build, though. Honestly, I’m a little worried about tomorrow, but I’ll try and power through it.

Hello all.

First I want to say I am excited about the upcoming competition. I wish I knew about it before, but anyway now I know and that is what matters. I just have a question. Am I allowed to use art from for the actual competion or does it has to be content created by even when the art I did not create is in public domain? Thank you!

Some Thoughts After My First Ludum Dare

I’ve been going around trying to test and rate some of the games. One thing that I like is how this competition heavily encourages you to rate games, so your own game gains visibility. I feel this helps create the great community for this competition.

I’ve personally been checking my entry page every once in a while to reply to every comment and thank them for checking out my competition, and check out their game if they have a submission. I feel like I really want to give back to the community, and really like getting constructive criticism.

I remember there being a lot of complaints on the IRC chat after the theme was announced. I personally really liked the them, because it forces you to cut out unneeded elements from your game until you get straight to the core of the game. That, at least, is my interpretation of the theme. I feel like if you really embrace the theme, you can get a lot out of it, no matter the theme. It really gets you to think outside the box, and outside your comfort zone.
