We have fixed some issues and bugs with our newest update for “Invent The Wheel!”

Changes/Fixes include:
1) Overdrawing – You only have a limited area in which you can draw.
2) No more timer – You have an infinite amount of time to draw your wheel.
3) Updated controls – You now draw with RMB, which appeared to be easier during our testing.
4) White flag – You can now abort your run and retry.

We also fixed some minor display bugs that occasionally appeared pre-fix.

Enjoy your new (and hopefully improved!) wheeling experience! 😉

Here’s a test level that we use to test the new features we keep adding ! We choose the “Two buttons controls” theme. You can use left click to move in one direction (the direction can be changed using the purple blocks), and you can activate things using right click (not seen in the following video). You can jump when you walk on the yellow blocks. The game is about resolving some puzzles based on thoses systems and some others that will be added in the future. There’s also a little story but Im not going to spoil you 😉

I know, it’s a bit early. But I’m already preparing for the upcoming Ludum Dare competition. Like previous years I’ll be competing in the April Ludum Dare. This will be my ninth time in the 4 years I compete.

To get myself prepared I’ll be doing a series of research on “What makes a game good?”. From experience I know there’s a list of do’s and don’ts. I’ll be keeping a blog on this here on the Ludum Dare website and my own blog. Up to the event I’ll be posting eight blogs, followed by reviews on how my blogs fit with games made by you. Feel free to request or comment. And if you’re in for a review on your entry about “What made your game good?” Leave a message!

First thing : ZOMG I have wrote the worst code ever

Two screenshots here :

You are the Red player and you start the game on a planet. Your enemy is Blue. You both can expand to neutral planets, accumulate more units with yours mother ships, fight for the possession of a planet, and kill each other =]

You also can make your own custom maps.

Since the last post I have deleted :

  1. solar systems idea
  2. zoom in / zoom out
  3. camera movement

  1. (ingame ?) Gameplay explanation / How to play
  2. ships attributes depending on the planet
  3. Some levels
  4. tutorial (maybe)
  5. check the Windows version
