Our concept is a gun that shoots the sweet feelings of love. Like a modern day cupid you trot around the city blasting people with urges of lust and heavy-breathing. Collect the hearts and get a high score.

The game boasts the following features:
-Realistic traffic simulation
-Local Multiplayer Co-op mode
-PC Controller Support
-Realtime pedestrian to vehicle relations
-A bunch of horny people
-Oodles and Oodles of the good stuff

Check out the screenies and show us some love by clicking that plus sign. Yeah the one next to the heart.

Fibonacci Grid – It’s maths.

So I decided to make a game focused on one of my favorite math things, the Fibonacci sequence. I had fun and I’m fairly happy with how it turned out. So to the nit and grit of a postmortem post (the good, bad, and confusing?).

The good:
-I learned A LOT!
-the game is well received by most that play it.
-I actually finished this time, and I like the game I made.
-the animations and time I put into them paid off
-I designed the game with mobile in mind and have something I can take to market (maybe)

The Bad:
– I suck at writing music
– I thought the core mechanic was simple enough to understand and it wasn’t
– I should have added a tutorial
– I had some crash bugs on release
– I completely misspelled Fibonacci the entire time I was developing (corrected since)

The confusing:
I made a concious effort to have people playtest my game, and was under the impression that the”adding” mechanic was simple. While some folks are getting the idea either right away, or shortly there after, most are confused.

MORAL: Dont assume everyone reads the description on the page, and if it is needed that much then put it inside the game.

I’ve got a working build and I’d like to get some testing done on it. The music is currently just some chiptune-ish placeholder music.

The game is based on the simple principle that when the grid expands it totals its neighboring tiles.
FEEDBACK IS SUPER REQUESTED! Here are some screenies to entice you.

The aim of the game is to travel through and place portals which will flip the player to the other side of the map in order to collect portal potions to create portals and keys to unlock doors, to complete the level’s end which is marked by a red flag.

If someone could compile this to work with windows, I would be so grateful as I am having some problems compiling on Windows (dll hell).

Bomb, rotation, and map regen demo

I love this game. It is so simple and yet complex. You have to avoid the bad guys and the lava pits. You place bombs and blow away the map beneath you. As you destroy the environment the blocks “Beneath the Surface” rise up to replace the old. You cannot leave the 5×5 grid, but it is ever evolving. I’ve published it on my website HERE. You can also download Mac, Linux, Windows, and the source code at that address. I was aiming for a kind of mix between fez, and minecraft style art, and I think I’ve nailed it. I’m open to all comments and critisms you might have. I’ll save the post mordem for a less busy time on the blog flow. Thanks for playing!

I had some fig bars as a snack as the evening wore on.

Fig bars

My fantastic and amazing girlfriend made me a taco dinner, which was so delicious that my taste buds were fist-bumping each other.

Taco Dinner

I went to a party my friends were hosting so I could take a short break and get some much-needed social time, but I came back home shortly.

Looking at The Big (Cork) Board, I can see that I’m almost done with the first iteration of work.

Almost done with the first of seven iterations

Unfortunately, I still have 6 more big iterations to do, and a lot of it is doing AI path-finding and other AI things I’ve never done before.

There's a lot left to do

And the deadline is looming.

The Deadline is Looming!

I’m feeling pretty screwed.

I'm screwed, aren't I?

Wait a minute. I think I have some Red Bull shots in my fridge…

Oh, yeah, I forgot I had these.

I don’t drink caffeine usually, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

This Might Help

Bottom's Up!

Let’s roll.
