The Purple Banana

And The Purple Banana is ready to roll! I might do a little polish here or there and add flash effects and maybe a sound or two. But otherwise, this is done. I have a lot of work to do elsewhere and this was supposed to be very short. I’ll submit it in a bit.

Been coding now for eight or so hours, got the basic features in already. Now I just need to add some proper AI and a nice world for it all to happen in…

1. build models :

2. prepare sound effects
2.1. define sound track
2.2. record zombie sound
2.3. record kitten sound
2.4. record shotgun reload sound from nerf 😛
2.5. find shotgun shooting open sound
2.6. find steps sound
2.7. create sound track

3. create user interaction
3.1. arrange in the scene the first city with some streets (copy real neighbour ?)
3.2. add camera to the character
3.3. move the character
3.4. define positions to generate zombies
3.5. define kitten positions

4. prepare actions
4.1. get weapon from kitten
4.2. display and count lifes
4.3. game over scene
4.4. shoot and kill zombies
4.5. count zombies killed
4.6. deliver letter

5. add main screen menu
6. add final score screen

and write the first big todo list :

  • fix the keyboard input
  • fix the mouse input
  • make char movement, with animation
  • add map and screen scrolling
  • define map in a txt file
  • draw tiles
  • draw trees
  • draw rocks
  • draw coin
  • draw 10 different vegetables
  • draw 3 different quest givers
  • draw 3 enemies
  • add to the quest giver to code to show the quest
  • all the char to gather stuff
  • add random code to add vegetables to places in the map
  • add coin counter
  • add bomb key and bomb damage
  • make enemies move and attack
  • buy bombs
  • add life control and die event
  • create bomb machine
  • create main menu
