Just woke up.

Hey! It’s always nice to wake up to Ludum Dare. Good day! :)

So my plan is to eat and walk my dog. The game will be a 2D puzzle platformer – well more like a jumping puzzle platformer. It will need your full attention to play for sure.

I don’t say more but will post pictures while making progress.

So, last night I napped, woke up, drew a bunch of stuff, and began working on the GUI for the game. Now I have awoken for a second time, ready to finish the GUI and finally put some gameplay into this game.

Here’s the checklist so far:

Things that are done:

-Map Generator

-Creature Sprites

-Creature Data Structures

Things that need to be done:

-GUI Interaction (the sprites are there, just no buttons)

-Creature Commands and AI Commands


This list doesn’t include all the boring backend stuff that is either done or not done yet. It’s just the highlights.

Well, by some miracle I haven’t slept way past my alarm and into the early hours of the afternoon. As I feared, I am not 100% in terms of health. Fortunately, I am at least over 80% in terms of health so this thing can still happen! Just need some caffeine and I can start talking a walk to develop my ideas. I have a couple of ideas already, so we’ll see how they go!

Ugh. I’m awake – honest. Z Z z z z z z

Right I’ve got 24 hours to catch up on. Today I’m going to throw a game together!
