So I haven’t really prepared, but I think I’m gonna throw my hat into the ring and make something.

Engine/Framework will be HaxeFlixel, since I’ve managed to get it up to date, and I’d love to try out one of the newer features.

Graphics: Photoshop

Audio: BFXR + LMMS (if I bother to make music)

So I guess I’m in for like the 7th time or something. I’m starting to feel old haha. It’s still unclear what exactly I’ll be doing, as I may do the jam with one of my friends. If I go solo, I’ll be tinkering with:

Engine: Game Maker: Studio

Graphics: paint.NET

Sounds: sfxr & Mario Paint (Not kidding, using it to create basic tracks to then convert to a midi file. Then I’m going to throw said midi through some programs and sound fonts to hopefully make decent music!)

Anyways I hope you all have a wonderful dare! Remember to vote for two buttons!

I’m going in!

Going to try my hand at working solo again, not sure what I’ll achieve by the end of Sunday since I’ll be away on the Saturday. I’ll bring my laptop with me nonetheless.

Language: Haxe

Framework/Engine: Haxeflixel

Graphics: Paint.NET/Photoshop CC

Sound FX: BFXR/Audio Recorder

Music: LMMS

I’m in! I might as well be, seeing as my life has been completely empty and awful for the last few weeks… *shutters*

I SHALL be using:

Engine: Stencyl

Graphics: paint.NET

Music: Whatever I can figure out to use, like always.

I hope everyone has an awesome time this weekend!

Peace,

~Yukon W.

All well and good so far. Today’s topic is resource management. First you play at different sites to collect notes which unlock things, and then you blow those notes on a chaotic jam phase where you attempt to adapt your improv to people’s tastes (and will most likely fail, hilarity ensues).

For now, any Hancock wannabe should try out the keyboard-only build: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/75065952/jamkeys.swf (controls obvious, except Shift toggles drum loop). Getting seamless loops in Flash was an interesting exercise, but will be most useful in an audio-heavy game.

Additionally, the crowd rejoices as Jiggawatt delves into character design again. Meet The Leeway Brothers, who will be supplying you that funky music, once they haul their asses into the game.
