Hi everyone!

This was our first Ludum Dare. It’s crazy to see how great some of the games are. There’s a lot of things we didn’t get around to finishing, like animations and sounds. I’m just excited that we finished something playable.

Leave us some feedback and tell us what you think.

Yggdrasil: fixed minor bugs

I have uploaded a new version. It does not have any significative change (because it is a Ludum Dare entry), but I have fixed some messed up collisions. I have modified the player’s physics too, now it has a smoother control and it is less slippery.

Why don’t you give it a try? I will really appreciate it! Also, any feedback will be welcome! Play it here

Found it!

If you want to play my entry, just click here. Any feedback will be wellcome! (I will also try your game in return)

If you are looking for the famous mosaic, it is here:

This game is based on having fun beating all the enemies and try to keep your life safe.

Enjoy it.

Here’s our progress so far
Progress6 by HealTheIll

Goals for the time left:

  • Level design
  • Polish the art, GUI and animations (some of what we have now are still placeholders)
  • Particles, and lots of them!
  • Sounds
  • Maybe a lil tutorial (?)
  • Some bug fixes (?)

Will do our best!
Yours truly,

Our Progress So Far

Hi There, it’s Sunfury!  :)

We didn’t post anything yet cuz we were hard in the developing proccess,
To sum up, we could be in a way deeper progress of a game. (everyone says that? ><)

Our force for this ludum dare contains:
Rom and Tom-Programmers sitting next to each other and working non-stop (full time)
Artur-Pro Designer (when he doesn’t work)
Ilya-Pro Designer (when he doesn’t work)

Our First Day:

We thought about making a physic game using levers/swing as ancient technology, this is what we came up with:

Kingeat by HealTheIll

Shootexample by HealTheIll

All tough it came up kinda fun and funny, we saw no potential in keep developing it (it may be too repetitive)

We reconsidered our options, thinking about more ancient technologies and we came up with pulleys (video) .
We decided to take the risk and test those pulleys.

after wasting  like 5 hours thinking about these pulleys and how we gonna make them intersting we crashed.
Day 2:

We wasted most of day 2 testing and trying to implement the most fun yet realistic physics and gameplay.
Working with Game Maker using Box2D, we tried using built in pulley  joints, but we found it too basic for our needs.

after hours of work in the end of day 2, we ended up with this:

Wegotsomthing by HealTheIll

You play as a well-known architect in Egypt, you’re there to solve their problems and well, mainly help them build their pyramids.
you do it by stretching ropes through the map.
The more we played with these mechanics the more we saw what a great potential this game has, hopefully we will think of some great puzzles tomorrow

Day 3 Plans:

-polishing (physics, effects, sounds…)
-challanging puzzles
-combining designs

hopefully, we’ll finish this game and make it somthing we’re proud of and hopefully somthing you’ll like too  !

if you guys can think of any interesting ideas to make our game better we would LOVE to hear them and give you credits of course if we use them  :)
Yours truly, SunFury

I’m in! First steps to completion!

Hi, Everyone!!

I see everyone is racing to create and finish their game for the 36th LDJAM, and I am happy to say that I will be joining as well!

I am currently in the process of creating my game for the theme “Ancient Technology”, which should be pretty fun! I’m working solo on this project(possibly duo) and I’m going to be updating my progress throughout this weekend.

I’ve just posted a GIF on my Twitter of my first step to completing my game: a randomly generating map! More is to come along the way, so please come join me on the path to completing our games!

I wish you all the best of luck(because a weekend to make a game is crazy, but fun)! Happy game making! ^^

TurretBox team plann

Alraight we just woke up early to get into the jamm, we are now planning the game and finding inspiration.

We are not worried about the theme as this was one we hoped for, we wont reveal to much but a couple of screenshotts of the game. Also still I hope you guys will give us feedback on what you excpect.

Current plan; Make a planning for what needs to be done (The team coder has alredy finised this) and start modelling the game assets, when we have finished the game assets and mechanicks we are going head on the texturing and smaller details.

Engine: Unity 5.3

Engine Extensions: Node system, Terminal, Texture tools, Chrome Shaders and light systems – All these extensions have been made by the team coder

Game main Theme: Ancient technology

Game Themes: Mystic, adventure, fiction, mindfuck

Game Genre: Horror

Team: TurretBox

  •  Team Co Leader, CptNaughty

  •  Feedback is apriciated

  •  If anyone wishes to join the team and prove their worth we are more then willing to take extra help.
