Finishing my first game!

Years ago by boyfriend show me Ludlum Dare and I really like it. But I never made a game because I thought I wasn’t capable…

I have been learning Unity 3D all by my self and creating some courage to make a game.
Now here I am finishing my fist game with Galvesmash for this MiniLD #60.

We still have much to do but its becoming playable.  Tomorrow I’ll post my entry.

It’s a turn-based game with RPG elements (Skills). We picked the An Unconventional Weapon theme because ou use your hair to attack!

Here’s some of the work. We are programmers, not artists!

The Most Fun I Had Being Frustrated

So my first game jam was fun! Fun but frustrating at times. I can’t wait till the next one!

I definitely want to try working with a team next time. Especially with people who have different skillets as me like programming.

Until then I will work on my art and animation (both 2D and 3D) .

GAME ENTRY ]

THis is a cHunk of something we afraid to call a “game”, with only one lonely stage of total disgrace and humiliation for game designers.

It is pretty at lest.

Instructions:

You are the Panic Man on the space vessel travelling through the hyperspace. You need to raise the panic level of the passengers to destabilize the vessel and lead it to destruction.

You can raise the panic level of individuals or the groups while holding [space] button, which consumes stamina. You also can scare the crowd with [Z] button (costs 10 stamina). And watch for the priest – he calms down the most panicking groups. To avoid this you can use [X] button to lure the priest near the TV.

The game ends when enough people are panicking.

We’re THIS close!

We are – God willing – going to be ready to submit within a few hours. We have music, scene progression, the difficulty has been balanced and all the bugs we’ve seen have been dealt with! I’m really proud of what we (mostly Alan) have done. That, and I’ve learned how to make gifs so that we can show off some bullet dodging action, in glorious 5 frames per second! NOT PICTURED: the slashing animation, which has managed to perfectly fall into the cracks of gyazo.

Yeay! We are almost there!
