Hi ! This is our first Ludum Dare entry. Hellbound is a 2D action/adventure game, in which you play a demon fighting to escape his cell.

The game is missing a few details, such as a boss fight, and lacks an ending. That will be added in the following days. The update will be available on https://nym-and-permilias.itch.io/ .

Directed by Martin Jacob

Programming by Léo Marambat-Patinote

Art by Sacha Rivière and Alexis Descamps

Additional graphics by Charline Hedreville

We are first year student in a video game school ! We hope you enjoy our work.

— CONTROLS —

Use Z,Q,S and D to move.

Spacebar to Dash. Move the mouse to look around.

Left click for a short-range attack, right click to cast a fireball (5 seconds cooldown).

We are coding like mad! Eating candy/sugar, drinking heavy caffeine and just being generally high (on life). Will probably have to eat something “real” soon though…

This will either end in despair…or in glorious victory. But I think that all of us at-least have something to show for now.

Like…uhmm…burned brains (zombie bbq?). :)

Rolle status:

Had to rewrite the game, but back on track now! Still need graphics, sounds and some…je ne sais quoi. But basic features basically done.

Emil status:

*random mumble* Almost done with basic features.

Glenn status:

Basic mechanics in place, starting to work on “special” features (weapons/power-ups etc).

Late, but I’m in!

Hey Darers!

Since my timezone is different than the Ludum Dare one, Ludum Dare starts at 4:00 am in my timezone so I couldn’t stay awake till that time; I was really tired. So I slept till 8:00 am; I woke up and checked the theme then went back to bed again. Finally I woke up 12:00 am! (That’s too late even in this timezone). So I had breakfast and a shower and then set up my tiny “studio”:

My Studio Image

Now I’m ready to start Ludum Daring! I already have an idea cooking up in my mind so I’ll start working on it right away. I know I’m late but I’m gonna do this anyways!

I’ll be using Unity (game engine), GIMP for the art, Audacity for the audio and Notepad++ for the code!

If you’re interested you can follow me on Twitter (@MizoTheDev) or Tumblr (@mizothedev as well) or both (I would really appreciate that). I’ll post all the LD updates there starting with this one!

I hope everyone has fun and I hope everybody makes something great out of it.

Good Luck Everybody.

The first post of my #LD37 blog will be in acquaintance with me and my plans to this Game Compo.
My name is Egor Davidov, russian indie developer and freelancer. I started programming when I was 12 years old.

The basic profile – web development, but also I’m developer of games,Server administrator and application programming (eg IoT and Smart House).

That’s all information you need :-)

About plans and my project.
I did not come up with a unique idea for a game, the more vote for the theme of the contest is still going. Most of all I love the one-screen games, runners and simple RPG. I am sure that future development is to build on these areas! And certainly it’s will be in 2D!!! Becouse 2D is AWESOME!!!

For the competition I have chosen category Ludum Dare Jam, because this is my first experience of participating in this competition

And by the way, I am very respectful attitude to time management, so now I publish my work schedule, and at all times will adhere to it!

All the time will be divided into 5 stages:

  1. Thinking through ideas and concepts.
  2. Prototyping.
  3. Work on the design.
  4. Work on gameplay.
  5. Optimization.
