I saw a lot of people writing “I’m in” on the title of their post. Maybe it’s mandatory in order to validate a subscribtion or something, I don’t know. But just in case: I’m in 😀

So here’s a screenshot of what I’m working on (nothing really impressive):

Testing features

Here’s a test level that we use to test the new features we keep adding ! We choose the “Two buttons controls” theme. You can use left click to move in one direction (the direction can be changed using the purple blocks), and you can activate things using right click (not seen in the following video). You can jump when you walk on the yellow blocks. The game is about resolving some puzzles based on thoses systems and some others that will be added in the future. There’s also a little story but Im not going to spoil you 😉

Thank you all :D

Waterfly Octus [Action Platform]

Waterfly Octus Logo

I started doing this game in Ludum Dare # 30, already has passed a long time and have not yet finalized.

I was in trouble with my computer, and that next week I should be with a new computer. When everything is ok, I will resume production of this game (also the Sword of Fireheart).

The story of Waterfly Octus is very simple.
One day Octus was quiet living your life under the sea when an earthquake shook the ground. Soon some bright golden stars began to fall and Octus was fascinated with those shiny objects, this time Octus begins his adventure to collect those stars by the ocean outside.

The Umbrella Man – Post Mortem

My first ludum dare!

After a bit depressing beginning (i had to remove many elements from my initial concept), i managed to recover and  appreciate that bit that has come out in this 72 hours!

Since i had no time (and also no skills xD) i had to remove different things:
– Obstacles (like birds that stun you, or chewing gum that slow you down);
– Other upgrades ( an other recharger, more lives .. )
– A better management of the increase of the difficulty during the game;
– A better management of the physics ( to be honest is cause he has the umbrella that he jumps that way, all wanted!);

What i’ve learned from this 32° Ludum Dare?
That you must not give up, that even if it all seems a disaster in the end it can be the opposite, just don’t give up!
Besides, i’ve understood that the concept must be really simple and you may add your extra ideas to a “to do list”, to use just in case you have enough time!
Enough, yes, because even if it doesn’t seems, in the end you will find yourself improving many details, and it will probably takes some hours that were not foreseen!
Resisting to the temptation of giving all up, i managed to complete “The Umbrella Man”,
here it is!

If you want, play it and leave a comment! Thanks you all!

There is still a lot to things to do so I’ll try be quick, I almost didn’t participate this Ludum, I’m depressed with somethings and dissapointed with others.

Took a little sleep unintentional and was mad about lose to much time and then I tried to do the thing that is my biggest fear in all ludums; the music.

Tried to compose without many hopes but then… then, it happened. For the first time I had compose something, I wouldn’t say it is amazing, but it least is tolerable, in my opinion at least! And better yet, I was actually having FUN playing my game with the music and vfxs that I made myself!

Maybe nobody likes my game, but this really made my day and I’m very happy about it!

Also, I’ll try post the development of it better after the deadline, so, don’t give up on me so soon guys!

Be aware. “Unknown” is sending his forces, computer viruses that are trying to vanish you. More about my MiniLD #27 game, you can read here. I am making progress with code, and also today I’ve done a lot of art. So here is my screenshot 3. Comments?

This is my first time to enter this competition. I am developing 2d platform/puzzle game. It is called “Saving his code”.

Game is about two friends Tim and John. Tim is a game developer. One night unknown hacker stole his game source code. But… Tim has a big problem! He must finish his game in 10 days, and he doesn’t have his source code. So he calls John to help him find the guy that stole his source code.  In that point your mission starts!

I am developing this game in GameMaker. For graphics I am using Inkscape (vector art) and GIMP for rasters.

I started making this game before couple  hours ago, so this is a first screen…  Main menu.
