Note Blaster

by atechdad - Mini LD Entry

This is a shoot em up game that pits the player against the piano roll of classic songs. Use arrow keys to move, space to shoot. B launches bombs if you have them.

- The idea and the way the game plays is really fun.
- When I started playing the game the music felt a bit strange, but the when I have played the game for some time the music felt better and better.
- The graphics and particle effects is overall great.

What could have been better:
- The font used in the game is a bit boring.
- When you dies set the player score back to 0.
- Use a time limit for how long you can use the improved weapons.

But overall a really great little game. Well done.

Thanks for the awesome feedback- for the improvements, I agree with everything. The font is just a working font. The other two are bugs and will be fixed very soon. The score should reset to the player's last score at the beginning of that song. The weapons should time out, I need to make sure I did the timer correctly.

I have fixed these bugs (I hope). Thanks again for the feedback.

I think you followed the theme well, couple of minor bugs I seemed to find. On a couple of occaisions the particles seemed to stay exploding and not fade away. Not sure if they are supposed to or not.

I think some lazer sound effects would enhance the experience. There are some good ones on freesound if you're interested.

Fun little game, liked your use of actualy musical pieces. Good work.
