Bouncing Droids

by Bloodsand - Mini LD Entry

This Game was created for the MiniLD#72.

Bouncing Droids is a Puzzle game, where your objective is to bring your colored droids to their respective objectives, but the droids only move in a straight lline and only stop when they hit an obstacle.

It's still a basic idea that I expect to develop further and maybe launch as a complete game. There are just a few levels, but I hope it is enough to get the feeling of the game.

Let me know what you think of the game, all feedback is appreciated and may be the key for pushing me into develloping the final product.

Update: Added the TAB key as means of cicling between Droids

UPDATE : Fixed a bug that allowed the player to select other droids while the other was moving

Nice puzzle game.

But it feels weird to select the droids with the mouse and move them with the keyboard. It'd be better if one of them were selected at the beginning of the level, and using tab key or similar to jump between them.

Thanks for the feedback, for some reason it hadn't occurred to me to use a key for swapping between droids, now that you poitd out it might feel a lot better. I'll add that for the next games, or further versions of this one.

Excellent game! Tab works nicely. I thought I did really well but didn't even make the top 3 >:( heheh, maybe next time!

Cool puzzles and I like that the level size expands as you get further into the game!

Thanks Dollarone, consider yourself the top 1, the other 3 are all me testing the restart level and tab functions.

Much better now. I like it. I finished it but I think the game couldn't send the score. But it's not a problem, because I ran it on Wine, so it must be a issue about that.

My score was 159 already. :D I think I'm terrible at this.

Probably something to do with Wine, I hope I can port this to Linux soon, I just don't have any machine running Linux at the time to compile it. But don't worry I'll manually input your score. It's good way to quantify player experience.

Bloodsand, I've cleared the 3 test scores.

Thanks dollarone, I was thinking about asking you to do that, but you are a step ahead of me, :D.

Really loved this. It makes you think in a way in imagining every obstacle as a set of building blocks to piece together in a precise way. Would definitely love seeing this as a polished game!

Thanks PixelFormedStudio, you really got the feeling I wanted players to have while playing this game, I've already started working at polishing this game thanks to the support of you guys and everyone else who tested this rudimentary version of it.
