Sandwich Maker Pro

by Levi D. Smith - Mini LD Entry

UPDATED DESCRIPTION

Create the sandwich displayed on the request on the right side of the screen. Choose an ingredient, such as bread, meat, or toppings on the left side of the screen. With an ingredient selected, click on the table to use that ingredient.

When finished making the sandwich, press the request button of the sandwich that you’ve created. If you made the sandwich correctly, it will add one to your score and a new request will appear. Otherwise, you can continue to add to your existing sandwich. Press the trash button to start over from scratch. Make as many sandwiches as possible in sixty seconds.

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION

Still a work in progress. Create a sandwich and press "Done" when finished. What constitutes a sandwich is really up to you. Currently, you can just keep pressing the "Done" button to get a really high score without doing anything. I would like to add more ingredients and requests so that you have to make a certain type of sandwich for it to count.

The in-game leaderboard just displays the latest scores, since the scores returned from the elympics site are in order of date submitted instead of score value. I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to sort a Hash/Dictionary/List/whatever in C# and couldn't figure out an easy way, so I may end up having to implement score sorting myself (too bad I can't do an SQL "ORDER BY" instead of implementing it in C# code). There is a way to sort a Hash by key values, but score can't be used as a key since multiple users can have the same score.

hey man, sorting should be straight-forward, look at something like http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3309188/how-to-sort-a-listt-by-a-property-in-the-object

I'll try your game later! Just added it to the leaderboards.

Thanks for adding my leaderboard! I'll check out the link later tonight after I get home from work. I'm also hoping to get the sandwich requirements added, since it's not much of a "game" at this point and more of a clicker.

Nice 3d models! I designed some pretty decent sandwiches - and then I did a 2nd run where I joined the clicking game. Works both ways!

Good work!

Thanks! I got the requests added now so you have to use the correct ingredients based on the requests. The best I can do now is 12 sandwiches. The leaderboards are also sorted correctly now. Thanks for the link to the Linq object sorting. Definitely saved me a lot of time not having to write my own sorting method!

It looks good, the ingredients have a satisfying animation when added.
