Ludum Hadron Collider

by vede - Mini LD Entry

Play as a proton, accelerating in an endless circle toward a large, scary lead nucleus. Go through the rings to accelerate, and try to get as close to light-speed as you can before you inevitably collide, generating all kinds of exotic matter and mad science stuff.

If you can get to 1c your computer and then our planet will literally be sucked into an actual black hole. In real life. Really.

Smaller rings give you more of a speed boost than larger ones. If you often experience motion sickness, consider having a vomit bag ready before playing.

You can change the resolution, or go fullscreen, or change the mouse sensitivity by changing the values in options.txt (make sure not to change the format though; this config file was a quick hack)

UPDATE: Added a new update with improved/corrected lighting, cool ring generation patterns, and a win32 build! Enjoy, Windows users.

After make an:
ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libGLEW.so.1.13 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libGLEW.so.1.10

I was able to run on linux. :) But after die and try to upload my score the system get hang. :(

The game is really eye candy but the controls by using mouse is a bit... how to say... weird for me. I would prefer control the camera with keys.

Great game with nice graphics and lighting! I like the gameplay, and its a nice difficulty curve with the increasing speed. Excellent.
