Thanks for the advice KloudRazor, the speed and the targetting system should indeed be improved.
I plan to help the player aim with some UI icons in my next update.
V2 is out
Changelog:
-use either the mouse or the keyboard to control the turret
-Faster ammo speed
-Smoother turret control
-slight better light building
-score implementation (you gain 1point /3sec, +20 for destroying ennemy ship, -20 for destroying allied ship)
-blue turret
I don't know if the inverted vertical axis is intentional but it's making the game more difficult/interesting :) But because of it I can't tell if the controls could be improved. It's still better than keyboard only controls
Neat game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the MiniLD 69 games, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/fqpIvqrRLGw

I think that after implementing score and health with UI you should do something about targeting. I find it very hard to control the turret. I think it would be great if you could allow the player to use his mouse to control the turret and maybe some kind of visual guide of where the projectile is going to hit (otherwise just make the projectiles move straight).
