Supply, Soldier!

by GreenNick - Mini LD 63 Entry

This game was created for the miniLD #63 fusion challenge. This is my first game jam ever and my second game ever created. The fusion is between an arcade type game with
an ww2 theme.

While in battle, soldiers need to resupply on health, weapons, and food. Its your job to give them what they need and put them back on the battlefield before the enemy overtakes you. You control a soldier who has to collect these supplies and do it quick before your time runs out.

wasd/arrow keys : Movement
space/LMB : Get Supplies
esc : pause

Walk over supply stations to get supplies.
Walk near soldiers to know what the need.

Working fine here on Linux with Wine, with the exception of text not rendering.

I like the player movement for some reason, makes the game more interesting. I ended up giving supplies to a lot of soldiers which was enjoyable, hopefully that's what I was supposed to do.

I think showing a battle between your soldiers and the others that are in a battlefield would add a lot to the game, giving you more of an incentive to do well and making things more exciting.

Cool game.

Thanks for playing it Jordan, If I spent more time with the game I could add things like a live battle which would be cool. Thanks for the feedback

Nice little game. It was fun to play, although i didn't last long. I think the live battle would be really awesome, and would make the game more exciting. The game has a cool concept. If you took some more time to develop this into a fully fleshed out game, I would pay a couple bucks for it. Nice work!

Interesting concept! I included it in my MiniLD #63 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)
