Left click / right click to rotate

Super SHIELD is a game that combines the simplicity and pureness of Super Hexagon with the frantic eccentricity of Bit Trip Beat!

It controls similarly to Super Hexagon in that you move by rotating the player, but plays similarly to Bit Trip Beat by giving you moving targets that you have to deflect!

Think of it as a 360 degree circular / rotational Pong!

Combining beautiful colors, music, and sounds, the final game will be shooting for wonderful and eccentric aesthetics with pure, frantic gameplay.
I originally had a prototype of this game about a year ago and placed it on Steam greenlight to gauge people's reactions and how the system works.

This version has been a reboot of the original idea made for mini LD 58; the theme being Pong. For the reboot I re-did the basic game and upgraded to Unity 5.

Thanks guys :) Would love to make more fire types - I know the blue memory ones come frequently and can get a little annoying. The idea is to have lots of variety and cool visual effects that come with it.

Thanks for playing!

This is cool! I hate the blue memory ones though :) They slow the game right down and if you get a wave of non-memory ones overlapping the memory ones you're absolutely done for!

If you were going to develop this further I think I'd want to see waves coming at you with balls coming at pre-defined vectors for that wave. Then things could come at you a lot faster - like you have when you've just got to line up then spin in the right direction. That stuff feels fun to get through :)

Really neat game! So many really nice touches to this game! I included it in part 20 of my Mini LD #58 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :)
