Ponball

by timtipgames - Mini LD 58 Entry

Still a lot room for improvements, but it's a proof of concept I guess :)

If you want more balls click on the field :)

Music was played by me but is taken from one of my older LD entries

Man I can't seem to score, the AI is like a solid wall! :) Could be fun to add some more meta playing and not just the goal scoring => like you get bonus items (extra lives, freeze the opponent, longer/smaller paddle etc.) by hitting targets/stuff on your side. Good and fitting music! Some small bugs I noticed: ball got stuck in the lower pit and kept bouncing here until it got hit by the other ball; paddle top can go outside the arena.

Nice work! Tons of potential with this idea. It reminded me a lot of the 2-player Joust pinball table.

It's a little like air hockey meets pinball. There are a ton of pinball mechanics you could borrow and there might be room for some foosball or table hockey additions, too.

The wire ramp into the jets that exposes the jump at center field was really cool, though the jump was pretty hard to hit and didn't have a lot of effect on the game.

Cool take on the theme!

Really cool mix of pinball and pong! I included it in part 1 of my MiniLD #58 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/6WCd4EnydEU
