Level Zero

by Evergreen Games - Mini LD 57 Entry

You are trapped in a dungeon with terrible monsters. Something is forcing you to repeat the same level over and over. Instead of leveling up, you level down. The only hope of escape is by reaching Level Zero...

The game is still very rough. The graphics still need work and I didn't have time to add audio. Some animations are missing
I'm a programmer, so i took some of the art off the Unity Asset Store
I made this in about a week.

Hope you like it!

Standalone build requires google drive to download.

I really wanted to play it, but your game doesn't seem to load. Maybe try uploading a standalone version?

I thought about locking the cursor but then you couldn't click on the stats menu button. Thanks for the tip anyway tho

This occupied me for 20 min, not bad, but towards the end it started to feel like a mind numbing grind, repeating the same level over and over(especially after leveling down speed a lot).
However I do like how leveling down naturally makes the game harder, without the enemies ever having to change/do more damage/get more hitpoints etc.
One small detail that would have really helped a lot, is some sort of hit-feedback to know when I hit an enemy and when I dont't.

Also that ET thing scared the shit out of me the first time.
