Danidre's Scripting Language (DSL)

by danidre14 - Mini LD 51 Entry

This is basically a very basic program to create a game in. Only limited to a number of functions for now, but that might change in the future. A program made in Adobe Flash AS2. So it needs to be ran on Windows, not online.
============================================================
Have no idea how to import games for Linux or Mac users, so it's also limited to that, unless I can get an online version so work.
============================================================
Games cannot be shared World-Wide yet, and may never be able to, until I learn how to make that happen.
============================================================
Check out the tutorial that would be made throughout next week for help on how to use DSL. Enjoy!

Nice, but unless you make publishing, it's unusable.

@Tosic Yeah I realise. But since it's made in Flash, I have no possible clue on how to publish it world-wide.

Looks pretty cool, but as Tosic said, it'd need exporting. Still, it's nice considering how hard the Tool Jam is (Why I didn't join it)

You used Comic Sans.

You have sinned.

You must repent.

Isn't it possible to output the script to a (text/xsml/json) file and make a stand alone script player that reads the file and starts the game?
If your program can do it on itself it's always possible to make two programs that do parts of it (one for script creating and testing and the other for reading and running).
A swf is playable online (although playing on phones and tablets is not), and can always read a file that's in the same folder.

@goerp Not sure if it is possible but even if it is, there's one lame problem....... I dunno how to do it, like have no idea whatsoever. xD

Yes, my first comment about this is that unless you make publishing it will be useless, but I was wrong, there is always a solution, for example, it can be used as an engine to teach begginers about the magnificent world of game development, or the engine can come with the game, so it can be played, OR you might be able to create a player that will be used for playing only ( like panda engine has ), BTW, you are awesome, keep it up, and do you know until when are the submissions for tool jam open?
