Skyworld

by strong99 - Mini LD 50 Entry

A demake of Islandworks's Skyworld game which I developed several years ago. With a little twist, no natural resources needed.

Build your glorious empire high in skies, develop industry, defences and let your citizens prosper, but beware!

Time taken: 18 hours. (Hope I get some hours to fix the crossbrowser issues)
Tools: Visual studio 2012.

Like the choice mechanic and floating movement. Could not keep up in the skirmish... but that's down to me I think ;( Looks great - while I was getting wiped out.

A back button would be useful, other wise very fun :)

Does the tutorial only consist of a TEST MESSAGE? Well i figured myself out that you need to drag your mouse on the house/factory/shield and not click on it. And that you need to drag from your planet to another one to attack it, where the amount of units depend on the duration of dragging.

So what does house/factory/shield mean? I got along with two of everything on every planet.

Skirmish Mode: At first i thought that the enemy is overpowered because he quickly attacked all planets, before i even finished building all 6 buildings on two planets. But then i noticed that you can easily take over one by one of the green planets simply by using a single large attack, so i still won on my first attempt... -> This game needs some balancing.

Thanks for playing,

DrCicero: there are several text messages, changing when you complete the said task.

The enemy is quite foolish as it doesn't wait for a strong force, it immediately attacks when its possible. They just deplete their defences by continues attacking. I'm trying to improve that.

The houses/factory define the attack strength, houses/shield the defences.
