Blip Blocks

A puzzle game based on different color schemes.
We were a day late because we got an idea but
could not make it fit with the time, then we
decided to go to sleep, the next day we got no
ideas for games but I started making this game
for fun. And then my friend told that it looked
nice and he thought that we should use that. And
here we are with this alpha version of Blip Blocks.

W - Move Up
A - Move Left
S - Move Down
D - Move Right
Escape - Pause Menu

You can pick colors with your

the color of the door and walk
in to the door to unlock it.

Neat gameplay mechanic.

The idea is good but I don't like the high precision dodging that you must do between the white blocks to avoid losing your color. Why don't you do larger corridors?

It freaked me out a bit, that you lose your colour so easy. Vut very nice concept, and game overall. Very fun ;D and by the way, cool to see others from Denmark in here too ;) (You are danish, right?)

Yes i am Danish and Caridorc i could make the player smaller instead of remaking the level.

Yes, this is a good idea, make the player smaller.

Nice little idea - not sure where the theme went but hey! :) Agreed with other comments - was a bit annoying trying to get through the gaps without any guidance.

Liked the subtle use of sound just to remind you its not silent :)

Neat game. Got a little tricky seeing how close the walls were.

Hey< I think losing the color if you touch any block is not actually bringing anything to the gameplay.
You could have the regular blocks not losing the color and only others to make it lose.

For new players it'd be clearer if once a "gate" is passed you just removed it since when its not used anymore.

Also I think we need more light :).

Nice game otherwise

Its called a "Door" in the game not a "gate". And the weak lightning is meant to make so that the player dont see how to sort it out from the start.

I agree a lot with @ostromoldave, I first thought the game was impossible since there was no way to be yellow and get back through the red block so some sort of visual feedback that they are no longer active. Also noted, the camera and the difficulty in knowing when you are close to touching a wall made it unnecessarily hard. If you want to keep the shift to grey, I think you need to give the player some color-life that starts to decrease when touching grey. And some clear feedback that you are loosing color while doing it. Could become something nice when those things are working better. You could actually, if you do the color-life thing, change controls so that you have a momentum to the movement making it even harder to not hit walls and then add a timer for how long time you have on finishing the level.
