Treasure Run

by Spelchan - Mini LD 45 Entry

For this challenge, I decided to learn to program the NES. As posted on Friday, I spent a few evenings before this weekend learning the internals of the NES and putting together some skeleton code. I can say that while my previous 6502 assembly language experience helped with this challenge, the NES hardware works quite a bit differently from the Commodore 64 that I learned 65xx assembly language on. Obviously, you will need a NES emulator to run the game. I hope to see if I can find a web page emulator that I can put on my site but for now you will have to download the game and an emulator to run it. The goal of the game is simply to avoid the ghosts while trying to reach the treasure chest. There are four levels. The source code is included, but I don't think I would call it great code. Enjoy.

Graphics were nice. Not too fond of the level design. Also, I kept getting stuck on walls and corners. Still, I played all the way through.

I respect your assembly skills!

NES, yeah!
Reminds me of the worlds hardest game :)
Needs a bit wall sliding. And I noticed a slow down at some level, maybe hardware limitations?
