E -- Set Trap

This game is set in pre-colonial Quebec, where the terrain is untamed and dangerous. The player is a French fur trapper, who will use his or her traps in order to survive. The player will be limited to ten traps when facing the wild frontier, including the animals that roam and sleep in the frozen forests of Quebec.

If the trap is tripped by an animal, the player will gain the trap back into his or her inventory. If the player trips the traps set, the player will be killed. If the player is attacked by an animal, the player will be killed.
The object is to survive as long as you can.

Additional notes on the game are necessary at this point. This build is simple due to my lack of experience in making polished games in Unity. When the player dies, the level will reload immediately and start over. Also, watch out for the animals that hide in the woods.

Hope you enjoy it, and wish you luck on taming the wild!

Hi brgarnet17,

The submission you have is missing a .unity3d file, which the Unity WebPlayer needs to run your game. :S

Is there enough time to fix it? Also, can you tell me how to share the game through Dropbox?

Either way, thanks for the heads up.

You can fix this still by editing your entry(on the homepage, click 'view' entries, then on that page 'Edit my entry') and change the link for the Web player that you have set to a working link. If you are unsure how to host such a file(the html and unity file just need to be together on any server somewhere or in a compressed folder together to download), you can also use to host your unity games.

Thanks for the tip DMT. Just hosted it on Kongregate. If it still seems to give you guys trouble, just comment and I'll address it.

The input controls are a bit glitchy, but overall this was fun to play for a while :)

I think it'd be a nice addition to make the tripped traps have to be picked up by the player before they return to your inventory.
