I started with some of my own existing code for maneuvering/firing weapons etc, but I've added all the game-y things in these last few days, including setting up and calibrating the various units. The ship models are cc0 from the shipyard pack by greyoxide.
It's essentially a score attack mode. Get points by destroying other ships. You have limited resources, your opponent does not.
The key info is on the game's page.
You get to buy 4 ships:
- frigate: double blasters(short range) and 50 homing missiles (long range), fast, best against miner and fighters
- big gun: experimental science ship, it shoots a big ball of hurt that goes through targets, short range, area of effect, can destroy multiple missiles/turrets at once
- miner: retrofitted mining ship, has a powerful long range laser but is very slow, doesn't try to target figters or frigates (they're too fast), but will shoot them if they get in front of the laser; best against carrier
- carrier: very slow, very durable, has 4 point defense turrets and 2 offensive turrets, very short range, turrets can be destroyed, carries 5 fighters
- fighters can't be bought directly, they come bundled with carriers, very fast, very small, they have one blaster
There's probably more I'm forgetting but such is the way of things.

This was great, with good ship models, good AI with the ships circling around to new targets, and cool visual effects. Too bad there wasn't time for sound. The only thing that bothered me was that the rendering of the 3D models wasn't antialiased.
@avh4 but... there is no sound in space :D
I'll cook up a desktop version soon, that will have a graphics settings.
I liked the Homeworldish style and full 3D physics. The finite resources, infinite enemies, and scoring system make for a different kind of challenge to standard RTSs. It'd be nice to have better control of the camera and ships, though.
That was nice :D Really enjoyed the gameplay. Specially liked how the game looks when both teams are attacking at the same time and shoot trails fills the screen :D
I couldn't run it on my system, but I really enjoyed watching the YouTube footage of gameplay.
@zapaman I find it especially amusing that people keep comparing this to games I've never played. :D
Fun for a while but fighting against an unbeatable enemy gets boring real fast. Looks great.
This looks insanely like Homeworld (my personal top-1 game of all time), so you get all my love.

Reminds me of the battles in Sins of a Solar Empire. Definitely a compliment considering how much I like that game.
