The idea for Substruct is 'pluggable structures'. Create your own unit builds by creating a custom production line!
NOTE: Units are autonomous (and extremely dumb). This will probably change in a later build.
- Supports 2-8 players (In Theory).
- You can open two tabs in your browser to simulate two players.
- WSAD / arrow keys to pan the view.
- Keys 1-4 select building types to place.
- Left-click to place buildings (once type is selected)
- Click a port at base of building to extend/retract it.

- Game lobby is broken, oops! There can only be one game going at a time across the whole Internet. Might try to fix that one :)
- Ok, lobby seems to be working OK now. The game still needs a lot of work to get to a playable state though!
Web version renders as a horizontal bar taking up like 1/5th of the vertical screen. Not squashed, just cuts off the bottom.
Wow that is some amazing work. The whole idea of the connected buildings is very interesting and the style is awesome. Would be a great project to continue and I hope you do. Really liked the look of the buildings and vehicles.
Thanks DMT, my artist friend Jarrad made the building and vehicle assets. He'll be very happy to hear you liked them! :)
7heSAMA - strange! Not sure if that's a rendering issue in Unity, or a problem with the HTML embed code. If you get the chance to fire through a screenshot, that would be much appreciated.
I love this idea of an assembly line as a new approach to unit upgrades. It was a bit hard to tell what was going on while I was playing, though. Impressive work overall!
Thanks very much! :) Agreed that it's tough to tell what's going on during the game - usability is not great as it stands. I think I would definitely cut the scope down from multiplayer to single player next time around - that alone sucked up about 5-6 of the 7 days. Still, great learning experience!
This is really one of the better entries, I really like this concept. It's a shame this has so few ratings. It's so easy to connect to a second instance on your own PC.
Here's my latest jam effort if anyone's interested: The Juno Incident - http://7dfps.com/?action=games&id=161
I'm calling it a 'Low Gravity Survival Horror' game.. :) You're stuck on a small asteroid with only hungry zombonauts for company!
7heSAMA - I fixed the issue you reported (a bit late, haha). It was a problem with the HTML embed code. Thanks for that!

Known issues:
- No Game win/loss condition - I forgot to add it!
- Units in production when a structure is destroyed get stranded in midair.
- Unit AI is extremely derpy.
- No visual indicator of shield/armor upgrades on units (the unit's stats are altered though).
- Unit attack animation is non-existent
- I'm sure there are plenty more issues... :)
