City Fall

The city is under attack! Set out to save as many building as you can in this manic mess of a RTS.

I worked on this alone and used allot of third party resources, please see the credits.

The game was created over 7 days using Unity3d, Fireworks, Blender, Javascript, C#, and many great third party assets.

This was my first Ludum Dare, first game jam, and my second week learning Unity3D. I thought RTS would be too complicated a game so I am happy that I was able to submit though I did not finish.

The game features some basic RTS mechanics:

*Target selection(Units, multiple units, enemy, building).
*Roaming AI with prioritized targeting(Path finding & collision are slow sometimes in the current version sorry!).
*Active and passive attacking of enemies.
*Destructible building.
*Unit creation/placement.
*A handful sound effects and some ambient music.
*Basic UI, selection, mini map, and HP bar GUI.

Sorry there is no windows version. Unity was kind enough to delete the entire main game scene right after the web export :D. Not enough time to redo from the backup.

this game looks really awwesome! but from the surface, it's really faithful to the status quo standards. great effort for a 1st ludum dare and for only the 2nd week of learning unity! you should be proud.

Great effort for your first Unity game. It looks nice, and I like the radio response when issuing a command. I had some issues with the camera and controls, but I still liked playing it.

Cool game, 2nd week of Unity? Hell yeah you should be proud! I had some issues with controls too, sometimes units didn't want to move.

seemed like there was just a long lag before units moved found it quicker to just spam spawn new units around bad guys... ! looks great the camera got stuck after I hit spacebar but then my favorite moment happened over the horizon I saw one of the buildings blow up in to pieces pretty epic... Great first attempt wish there was more to the game mechanics strategy side.

Holding space bar and moving the mouse adjusts the view, but the first times its pressed, it brings the camera up. Sorry about the bugs, getting to them. Glad you enjoyed that epic building explosion :D

Good game, I had some issues with units getting stuck between buildings. For the amount of time you spent on it though its great, I was really impressed when I first saw the screenshots. Do you plan on continuing it or was this a one-off?

Graphics are really impressive. I'm sad that I didn't see an epic building explosion. I got frustrated when I told my units to go somewhere and they just kept walking into each other, not allowing anyone to go anywhere.

Yeah I just found out that the explosions cause a fatal crash on the standalone player for linux/osx/and windows. I am trying to sort that. Its unfortunate that the unity web player doesn't work on linux :(.

The cityscape is quite impressive! Unfortunately it didn't play very well for me--panning around and selecting things was laggy, soI wasn't able to move my units much beyond where they started out.

Liked the graphics and the controls. Had some minor issues with ai getting stuck on moving, but beside that the game worked really good. Good job :D

The game looks great and the guys walking around destroying the city works really well. The keys seem to show that you can build more units but I couldn't figure them out. I also wasn't sure when I was attacking or when the enemy was without looking at the life bars. Red lasers are mine and green are the enemies, right?

Overall it as fun.

Graphics were cool and the voice acting was a nice touch.
But it was unfortunately really buggy and boring. Sorry.

Wasn't really sure what to do, you can create unlimited units to fight for you and there doesn't appear to be a win condition. That said, I really enjoyed it and would love to see this as a full game!

Moving the units around would cause them to get stuck even if there were no obstacles present. I eventually just kept spawning new ones.

It looks nice but feels a bit wonky at places, with the units getting stuck on thin air and whatnot. Needs a bit more content than just walking around and blasting the occasional enemy.

Magnifficent job for 2nd week of Unity in any case.

Needs a whole lot of refining, to be blunt. I'm pretty sure you understand what needs to be improved at this point.
