Combat Shock

by trashgames - 7dRTS / Mini LD 44 Entry

Turn Based Tactical Shooter for two players.

Each turn the player controls one of their units. The unit can move and shoot as much as they want for the length of the turn. Collect Health and Ammo to gain an advantage and don't fall in the water!

Eliminate the opposing team to win!

I guess this is a hotseat multiplayer game? A turn-based FPS is a pretty cool concept and your implementation is really good. Now I need to find someone to play with...

Hi thanks for the feedback sanojian. Yeah it's hotseat multiplayer at the moment with a timer on each turn similar to Worms. A single player / co-op mode is on my todo list, so you won't have to have a buddy to play.

Interesting concept, the ammo is far too limited in my opinion.

This was just a sneaky way to avoid making walk animations wasn't it?

defenly reminded me of xcom this latest level has been the best cause puting the ammo in the center gave less insentive to just be defensive. and the walls and bridge was cool cause on the brigde you could see more but then you where a bigger target... I really liked the caught with your pants down that would happen... still wish there was more interaction between turns... so it would have been more real time feeling. over all great polish really liked the graphics and inspires me to try unity.

This is a really cool idea. The only limitation seems to be the level itself and how well it can allow the teams to move around without getting killed too quick. Looks great and ran great! Needs something like camouflage power-ups or hiding spots to really add some strategy between turns. Attack & hide seems to be my tactic.

I enjoy it with my girlfriend but more time for each players will be nice to not switch every 10 seconds

Very cool graphics for a prototype! At first I was quite skeptical because it had the word "turn based" in it - but it's has very REAL TIME aspects to it as well. :) Way to stretch the definition of the genre.

I can see how two people can really have fun with this. Unfortunately I live alone now and wasn't able to fully appreciate the game :(

Would have liked to have a way of knowing which one of my units was coming up next.. Also might be useful to have a minimap so I have a quick way of knowing where I am on the map - but maybe that's part of the challenge.
