Flipper - mcc - Mini LD Entry

This is a game made under the 8x8x8 rule and wildly violating all the other rules. It was started a bit over a week before the miniLD was supposed to start, finished hours after the miniLD was supposed to end, and I collaborated with an artist (Mike LeMieux). The game was made using Polycode. I think it is neat.

I may make an expanded version of this later, I'll post back here if I do.

    Interesting...

I'm not sure that I understood the whole game. The music was catchy and the graphics were cool. I didn't quite understand why the game would end.

Cool concept, but I needed a bit more direction.

Rococoman, there is a pit in one place in the game, if you fall into the pit the game ends. Problem I'm realizing is that the pit is slightly too large for you to easily be able to tell, at the moment you fall into the pit, that you are in fact stuck in a pit, and it's easy to fall in by accident. I agree this needs a bit more focus, I'm trying to think out how to do that. Anyway thanks! :D

I saw the pits - I just wasn't sure why that ended the game, or why there were staircases which seemed to follow you.

I really liked the style, though! The music was very catchy as well.

I liked the mood this game gives, the stopping music made me chuckle and I found myself stopping and walking and bumping into things on purpose sometimes...
Found a pit on my second play of the game.
