Global Warfare - stigrv - Competition Entry

Please note that you will need the latest version of Chrome or Firefox to play this game.

Mutually Assured Destruction. Is this what the world is come to? Is there really no way to escape this destiny? Can't we all just sit around the bonfire and have a nice civilized chat? The results of war are devastating, and this small game will give you a small peek into the future of nuclear warfare.

The factions marked as green are yours. You shoot a missile from one of your zones into an enemy zone by dragging the rocket icon over to an another faction. Just be sure not to drag it over to one of your own zones. We don't want unneeded casualties, do we?

Awesome game, but very easy, conquered the world very fast :)

Really easy, indeed. I loved the presentation, good work!

I really like this game, good graphics and gameplay but maybe rocket sound is a little annoying. Also I like a fact that it is HTML5 powered ;)

Fun and very nice-looking, even though I found the way to play it clunky.
    Reminds me of Defcon !

I'm always impressed by HTML5 shots. This thing beat your average flash dingy hands-down. Excellent piece of work.

I do, however, take offence to shooting at my own continent to win :( Boo! :P

The control scheme was very annoying, for it to work well, you should be able to at least have all regions on screen at once without scrolling. Otherwise, pretty fun.

There are some elements there to make a fun multiplayer game. The user interface could use some work.

I really liked the look, but the gameplay wasn't my cup of tea.

A little hard to click the small rockets, but surprisingly addictive -- had to play until I won :)

Quite simple gameplay but it works very well. I like the presentation.

Well, this is fun. The random side-assignment is a good feature, prevents stereotyping :-)

Thanks for your comments. I know the interface for selecting regions is bad, it annoyed me a lot during development. It is one of the first things I would fix if I get the time to do some more work on this game. I'm afraid I used too much time on the fluff, and left the interface to the last minute, with no time to fix it.

By the way, I found an exploit,

if you have a country at 10%, shoot a rocket at it, it'll go back to 100% :)

That was intentional. When you take over a section, you should be able to use it against your opponent. He will get the same opportunity if he kill all of your villagers.
