Well, Mike ran in to problems getting ldjam.com working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.
Someone has stopped the holiday cheer,
Santa's been killed... not by himself,
Though none saw it the culprit is clear,
The only ones there... must be an elf!
I couldn't manage to get the core mechanics in so basically just showing what I did get done =.= my partner ended up being pretty busy so I did all the programming and we didn't get any of the characters or photos which he was working on (only managed like 4 or 5 anyway)
controls:
you can click and drag the photo around, holding right click allows you to sift the photo in the developer solution.. I was going to make it so the whole photo gets darker when it isn't moving or hits the walls, but if you move it slowly and at the right pace the photo would develop nicely and then you would be able to see the crime scene and accuse the suspect depending on the weapon used.

It's pity that you don't get to the core mechanics. The current state feels pretty well.
As you said yourself, a bit incomplete. Good prototype for what you intended though. Quite a bit of life to the scene with the natural-feeling motion. The hand and its shadow come out pretty jagged on the edges, though.
So sad that the game is unfinished, because it feels great and the mood is very interesting!! 2 stars for such a nice feeling! well done! :D
