Well, Mike ran in to problems getting working properly with about 12 hours left in the Compo, so this is the backup plan.

Hi all

This is a simple Jump and Run, where you are trapped in a room and the level is randomly generated (It may not look like a room, but trust me. It is one. It just has invisible walls.) It is also my second LD game. I'm still a novice programmer, so this is why the game doesn't work that well. I run into a bug at the last second, that somehow completely breaks my game, if your pc isn't fast enough. I've managed to create a workaround, but it is ugly and only runs at 20 fps. (That's why there are 2 jars in the zip archive.) Also I would like to thank my two teammates who created all of the textures. Without them this game would have not been possible to create.

Kind regards,

Hm, doesn't seem to work. I get a "javax.imageio.IIOException: Can't read input file!". My game is in Java as well. Did you use the standard libraries? If so it may be a problem with how you're loading image assets.

Can you try extracting all the files?

I guess this is not exactly "one room" but hey, you made some good physics about it. Maybe you can think about making the "falling part" a little faster so it will be a little more answering to the keyboard and less constant-flow !

I admire the fact that you seems to be no graphic artist but you thought about making a little something for the background to allow movement-sensation ! Great thinking on that one :)
